Hi Britsimon, I hope you’re well! Thank you for the good work you’ve been doing to help DV lottery winners. You might not remember me but I was a beneficiary of your videos and write ups back in 2015 when I won the lottery in Ghana. Although I wasn’t successful, I was able to use the knowledge to help few of my friends who won the subsequent years. Fast forward in 2024, I applied for a B2 visa in London, got approved but my ceac status changed from “approved” to “refused”. I was invited back for a second interview. During the interview, the consular officer told me that background checks revealed that I have been applying for the DV lottery every year since 2015 thus doubting my intention of just wanting the visa for tourism purposes. I explained and justified why how my intention is genuine to the best of my ability. My passport was returned to me and I’m currently awaiting the final decision. It’s been a month since and I am yet to get the final update. I thought I should share this experience with you. I know you might have come across several instances similar to this. That's a bit cruel really. After all, buying a lottery ticket does not mean you pay the tax.

I believe it is, according to the CEAC data the highest case number scheduled at PTS is SA2004 which is the current visa bulletin

Hello Simon, I understand that they are going to go up to case number 3750? I am in Argentina, in our group we are all above 35XX. Is this correlative? thank you! greetings

There are Argentinian cases at all ranges. But the video explains what I think will happen with the Visa Bulletin numbers.

The policy exists. When you see the VB released making your case number current, you can file.

Being from SA with a cn of low 4xxx this is disappointing to see but I’ve always been certain of being an edge case. Still a good analysis. I think Havana is performing pretty well, last year they had a really good run and this year I feel will be the same but doubled. The next bulletin will be interesting to see how much movement SA has if there is any at all.

Agreed. The quota for SA is about 1500 so it wouldn't be a surprise if Cuba takes a full 1000 of those, and Havana is showing it can easily handle that capacity.

No, the range I gave was the range where I expect the numbers to end. Meaning I don't expect the region to go current.

hi BritSimon i am Victor from Ecuador and my case number is 41xx due to the information you are given us i guess its time for me to abandont all hope, accept reality that my case number will never go current, anyway great analysis mate.

Risk is not "certain". Your number is low enough that you should remain open minded, just informed.
