@@downnthevalley1028 no. There are loads of black Arabs. I'm one of them. Stop with this tired narrative. The issue is that she has overtly sexy social media pictures. It's really not a good look in our culture. However, the mother has no compassion. She should have spoken differently in a more understanding way. Also her fiancé didn't defend her. Her future father in-law was the one who was more worried about her. That's not good. Yazan didn't defend his fiance spontaneously.

HE knew exactly what type of person she is. HE didn't explain everything properly before she left. She really wants her dad there. Yazan's mom's crazy for saying that her family is not important anymore. She honestly tried to fit in. Asa Harvey not saying it’s the mans fault but when you lie to someone about having to assimilate to their culture and not having a choice in bringing your dad like she wanted because it would make her more comfortable and having literally a WHOLE family argue with you because you don’t want to assimilate to their culture is bullshit. She’s a free spirit and that guy and his family is literally trying everything to break her spirit and freedom. That’s not a relationship. So you can say that you’ve “heard it before” but until your in her position and getting yelled at for wearing makeup (because in one episode his mother got mad at her about wearing makeup) then maybe you should 🤫🤫🤫 you can’t expect to have a relationship and then expect the women to change everything about herself to fit your needs.

If the husband is constantly putting his parents before his wife, and the wife is unhappy, the husband is doing something very wrong. Now that's the religion. There will, unfortunately, be some Muslims out there who do the complete opposite, and is messed up. Again, that has nothing to do with the religion, or the Muslim nations in general, just those certain Muslims who make us look bad. And let's not forget, this sort of disrespect happens everywhere. Stop trying to make it seem like only "the muslim world" has this problem. It's not the entire Muslim world, it's not the religion, it's just how some people are unfortunately that they have no care for women. It's pretty ignorant to think that this problem only exists among Muslims, which it doesn't. There is a lot of abuse against women and discrimination in the Western world too.

Her meltdowns seem like mine, i think deep down she has some insecurity or anxiety issues, over apologizing and going straight to the worst thoughts. Also, Yazan does not stick up for her because he was raised by those toxic parents, so he thinks their behavior is normal or being obedient is better for survival better than sticking up. Also, I admire how they were communicating great after she calmed down, that they apologized to each other and tried figuring out a solution. I think that was a healthy conversation
