She was super nervous. Think of how young she is and it's a huge deal for her in sure to be performing for the president and 1st lady who are 10 feet away the whole time she's singing with their eyes focused directly on her and their perfect white teeth glistening in the stage lights, making it impossible to detach from the moment. She obviously has the power and soul to blow this song out of the water. You can hear the Alabama shaking in her voice as she's talking before the song. Just nerves. She's got so many amazing performances out there. This was just a huge deal for her and I'm sure her mind was racing with nervous thoughts.
