Being uncomfortable around a person and worrying for your personal safety is not in any way the same as being annoyed that someone is using your things without permission. I'm a neat freak as well and it would bother me if someone was messy on a consistent basis and it was pure laziness not to clean up, but there's also a difference between items that can be shared between roommates (silverware, plates, appliances etc) and using things that are mine without my permission, like hair care items or makeup etc. Nobody needs to lose it over a roommate leaving a glass in the sink once or twice when they were in a hurry or using a toaster. That's just bonkers.

I was in MTSU at the same time this happened. Tina and her boyfriend was my roomie's friends. She only spoke to me once while being in my home. I did not like her personally. She wasn't welcoming at all. It was quite sad when finding out what occurred. I knew and several others knew what was going on with her and Shanterrica. I truly feel like Tina started all of this. This is a case I would never forget or get over because it was so close. MTSU do not care who they put together in their housing. I had so many incidents myself until I finally moved into off campus housing.

They keep messing with me and the only thing I do is mind my own business. All they do is worry about my company, which is non of their concerns because I'm single. They used to block me in and it was fine for them to do that, not. I'm a female and they're women beating males and I like fighting women beaters, so I really can't wait for one of them to try me.

No, it was actually proven that the murderer lied for the longest. Girl aside from the crime, why is this a real story taken from my life? Not my proudest moment but one time I woke up in the middle of the night to some half naked man my roommate brought home, bare a$$ on the kitchen counter, playing guitar for the girl. I lost my damn mind. I yanked the guitar out of his hands and told him to leave before I broke it 😂 The nerve of people to bring strangers into the home without telling you like wtf.

This same thing happened to me. My roommate would bring her boyfriend and random other guys in an all girls dorm suite and we would see him all hours of the day and night without her saying a single word. What really made me so angry about it is I walk around half naked all the time with the comfort that we're all women. I also leave my laptop and some of my electronics in the common room. Imagine waking up 3 or 4 in the morning to use the bathroom in a shirt and underwear and finding random guys in the common room next to your stuff. She was a bitch from the start so I just went to residential. They spoke to her but the behavior didn't change.

I literally developed urinary problems because my roommate was constantly saying I was "using the bathroom too much". He kept his dog, who did not like me, in the kitchen between me and the bathroom. The school doesn't get involved with off campus housing, unfortunately. The apartments are privately owned and not affiliated with MTSU despite being advertised as student housing. The amount of shooting and murder stories I have from my time at MTSU is rediculous

@@robnesha4561 yea it goes down in Murfreesboro Tn. To people who don’t know Murfreesboro is a small city with about 200,000 thousand people about 20 to 30 minutes outside Nashville. It’s a college town but they got they bad parts and it’s a lot of young people in that town. So sometimes when the ratchet part hooks up with the college people shit happens. And if I’m not mistaken MTSU is the biggest university in Tn. But overall Murfreesboro is a great small city with an abundance of jobs and a thriving community. And is the fastest growing city in Tn. Like any city that’s thriving and getting bigger you have growing pains.

Honestly! I'm currently in one such situation but with the added issue that my roommate has to use the table in the dinning/living room for work due to her desk being too small and because of quarantine she's been here since fall... and as a textbook introvert and someone who's balancing a job and school it's really sucked the energy straight out of me. I can't relocate right now due to financial reasons (and the landlady is the sweetest person too) but I really hope to find a new place.

I have been in a living situation like this more times that I care to admit. I once lived with three girls who were all best friends and made sure I knew I wasn’t shit. I was so stressed and so moody and couldn’t sleep. They would gaslight me and call me childish and gang up on me omg it was so bad. I finally was able to move out before I knocked one of them out. Another time I had a Tina kind of room mate that would micromanage everything but would always have her crazy racist sexist nazi if a boyfriend over all the time. It makes me really sad for shanterrika bc this seemed like a huge mistake. This girl wasn’t a murderer and didn’t plan to kill Tina. I’m not convinced that race and lack of good defense didn’t get her out away.

Tina is reminding me of my crazy dorm roommate in college. I looked in her mirror once and she turned her whole entire mirror around and told me not to use it. Quick question: Do we know if the "extra" stab wounds were consistent with being possibly accidental during a struggle? Because yes, murder is awful, but if you are literally begging someone who is in every way physically dominating a fight, what are you expecting to do? Let them bash your head in until they get too tired to go anymore? Where would that have left Shanterrica? Possibly on the other side of the situation depending on how far Tina would've taken it. She had made it clear that she had no intention of stopping any time soon. And who here has a plan for what to do if you are "high as a giraffe's ass" and accidentally stab somebody? Who's to say you wouldn't react similarly in her position while not being able to think clearly. I'm just not 100% convinced that this wasn't self defense followed by panicked decisions made while under the influence. As someone who’s grown up dealing with girls like Tina from K to 12 she might not have “deserved” it but she definitely had it coming. You can’t just treat people like you’re better than them and expect them to sit down and take it. my BIL partner is one of these sad excuses for women who feels the need to make comments on my looks, my upbringing, my cleanliness, and literally any other aspect of who I am as a person just so she feels better about herself then as soon as I defend myself or insult her back I’m “talking back” or having an “attitude” mind you this woman is a year older than me so no authoritative hold over me whatsoever. this enrages me as it would anyone except for people with this shitty personality type. I got into a verbal altercation with my freshman roommate and my RA separated us immediately. I ended up with my own room for the 2nd semester with no up charge. My RA must of saw the rage in my eyes because I remember being at my computer when my roommate and I started arguing ready to pick up the keyboard to slap her across the face with it. This giving me flashbacks to college! I had a roommate who originally me and our other roommate shared everything with. But she abused our stuff. She broke my dishes, our food would go missing, she would use ALL the cups and forks and hoard them in her room all nasty with food. She would cook and leave raw chicken sitting on the counter, not clean up the chicken juices. Meanwhile she did NOT let us use her stuff. She never helped clean the common spaces. SHE WAS DATING A GROWN MARRIED MAN WHO JUST GOT OUT OF JAIL and never told us when he was coming over. My other roommate and I had an understanding we would simply be considerate and share the chores, our things if we used all of the others stuff we would replace it. We did all the cleaning. We let the other know if we had company over. We never had nobody's wife banging on our windows trying to fight us for her husband. It was a mess tensions were super high. We decided to talk it out AND THIS GIRL CALLS HER MOMMA OVER TO DEFEND HER and that woman called our moms acting like we were bullies it ruined any peace of the house. Un until that point I had been trying to be the peace keeper because both girls always were at eachother's throats. But after that I was done, she had played the victim, her actions never improved only got worse and we really never worked anything out. It became an us vs her and we never did anything to her but she was excluded from activities and she started slamming doors blasting music on night she was even hiding under my bed drunk and upset that we went out without her. I am usually a homebody but I hated being home and after coming home getting in my bed to suddenly feel my mattress thumping and look under the bed to see this woman under the bed talking about why didn't you include me. My door to my room was locked from then on cause that was too creepy. I'm so glad nothing escalated like this. But I'm reliving a past life listening
