(The taller blonde guy was a main character on the Drew Carrie sitcom show in the 90s)

Ryan, the tall one usually had unique shoes and was occasionally the subject of the jokes. Colin usually for his baldness. Colin and Ryan are really good friends. Funny outtakes are when Ryan detests hoedowns or just bloopers in general. I loooove this show

When Greg Proops said "Nice Aft" it was a play on words for "Nice A**". This is because the word "Aft" is a term meaning "towards the Stern/rear of a boat, plane, and spaceship".

The 2 guys that keeping coming from the right side of the screen are Ryan and Colin. They were the only 2 that were always on the show from start to finish. They were regularly paired in the various skits because they had so much chemistry together. There are loads of best of Ryan and Colin vids on youtube to watch. The tv show is done but all the people from the show regularly get together to do a live tour from time to time. I think I saw ads for a live "whose line" at a few different locations in Louisiana recently.

Great reaction and thanks for sharing. Whose Line is it Anyway is still playing to this day. The show was originally a British show with the host Clive Anderson. It came to America with Clive still hosting. When it ran out of steam. Drew Carey took over the show and started hosting it. After Drew bought the daytime game show empire of Merv Griffin and started hosting the Price is Right, he hired actress, comic, voice actress, director (Lana in the cartoon Archer) Aisha Tyler to host Whose Line. The current show plays on the CW network. Ryan Styles and Colin Mochrie with Greg Proops have been on the show since it was in England. Currently you can see most of the seasons on Roku TV, even back to the English shows.

Originally the show started in England hosted by Clive Anderson. That is where Ryan, Colin and Greg Proops got their start on the show. It was then broadcast in the US with Drew Carey as the host and that is when Wayne joined. When Wayne joined it gave the show a whole new dynamic with how GOOD he was at making up lyrics on the spot and having such a great voice. The original show ran from 1998-2007. It was then revived with Aisha Tyler as the host and that ran from 2013-2023. Aisha Tyler had been in a few things over the years, I remember her as one of Ross' girlfriends on Friends.

I agree about continuing/expanding the show. The concept and regular cast were exceptional, and the guest spot(s) gave a lot of comedians some great exposure. Helping a community that's tough to get noticed in and providing excellent entertainment as well sounds win/win to me. The internet says Wayne, Colin, and Ryan probably won't be back after season 20.

Colin Mochrie and Ryan Stiles are always brilliant together and of course Wayne Brady adds great talents all his own. The Drew Carey Show was a sitcom that ran for 9 seasons from 1995 to 2004. Ryan Stiles (tall guy, big nose) and Ryan Stiles (bald guy) were part of the main cast of the show alongside Drew, and they were also regulars on Whose Line, which first aired in the US between 1998 and 207. The show originally started in Britain under the same name. They would often have Wayne Brady on as well, but there was often a guest player as well. Aisha Taylor becamse the host when The CW picked up the show in 2013. TL;DR - Drew is the original American host from '95-'04; Aisha became the host when the show was revived in '13.

The tall gentleman whose tie you commented on is Ryan Stiles. Among other things, he was on the Drew Carey show. He was also a regular cast member on the original British Who's Line, along with the older gentleman, Colin Mochrie. They're both pretty good at long-form improv with other actors, but together they are hysterical and almost always come up with something side-splitting. There are long-time running jokes between them (and other cast members). Just don't ever make a bald joke about Colin unless you want swift and brutal retaliation. The man is a BEAST.

The best game in who's line is it anyway is sound effects. The show was in the early 90's. Then revived in '98. Ran for 8 seasons. Then revived again in 2013 with Aisha Tyler. Of course with drew Carey in Las Vegas it's not called who's line. It's the same type of show.

One of my favorite segments was song stylings. 🎵 The host would select a musical style (like country, heavy metal, punk) and ask the audience for a song topic. They had a tiny band that would improvise the music and, of course, one of rhe regulars or guests improvised the lyrics. Wayne Brady was always impressive!!! On one of these song styling segments the style was something like "thrash metal" and the topic was "airline flight". My sister and I were on the floor, laughing. We still periodically replicate the demonic flight attendendent voice screeching "Do you want the meat or the fish? Hear my voice. Make a choice." What a great show!!!

Styles, Mochrie, and Wayne Brady had all appeared on the show's British predecessor. The American version launched in 1998 on ABC with Drew Carey as host, and ran until 2007. "Whose Line is it Anyway?" started as a British radio program in 1988, quickly came to British television later the same year. It was successful in Britain for more than a decade, to 1999. In 1998, it came to American television, hosted by Drew Carey; that version lasted through 2007. In 2013, it was revived with host Aisha Tyler, and has run since then. (There seems to be some debate in 2023 whether it would continue, so I'm not sure of its current status as of this moment.) There have also been many many international versions of this improvisational comedy format all around the world. Ryan Stiles is the tall guy. Colin Mochrie is the bald guy. They have been performing together on this show since the British version. Many of the American comedians were also on the earlier British version at one time or another.

There have been 3 'series' of Whose Line is it Anyway, each one lasting roughly a decade... it started in the UK in 1988 and ran till 1999. They also started a US version in 1998 (This is the one with Drew Carey hosting) which ran until 2007, and then in 2013 it got a revival with a new female host (Aisha Taylor) that's still going today. The two guys you were talking about are Collin Mockery and Ryan Stiles. They were the most frequent 2 guests in the UK series, and have been permanent parts of the show in both American series. (Counting all 30+ seasons it's been on the air, Ryan's been on 507 episodes, and Collin on 483... Wayne Brady takes Third place at 407 episodes (5 on the UK version, the rest in US). He was there for *most* of the 2 American series with the exceptions of parts of Seasons 1 & 8, and there were about a dozen regulars who would rotate in and out frequently for the 4th spot (or to fill in for a regular who missed an episode), plus once in a while they'd have a special guest star, like Richard Simmons, Robin Williams, David Hasselhoff, Jerry Springer, Whoopi Goldberg, etc.

A few years back they did a touring group called Drew Carey's Improv All Stars {you can find them on youtube}. And literally they would get an idea from the audience and on the fly come up with jokes. Kathy Kinney was with it in Vegas, the prompt from the audience was Automobile brands. She said "you can fit 4 people in my (volvo but instead ended the word with an "a")" The entire crew was done. One of the skits they made one of the guys take his shoes off, and blindfolded him. Then put mouse traps all around the stage and then had to act out a ballroom dance scene. {FWAP!}

This started as a British show hosted by Clive Anderson and then came to the States and was hosted by Drew Carrey. The show was cancelled in 2007. In 2015 it was revived and was hosted by Aisha Tyler. On almost every episode (maybe every one) the had Ryan Styles (the tall guy who had the wing-tipped shoes). Collin Mochrie (the bald guy that was on the same side as Ryan Styles) and Wayne Brady were also on most shows and they had various other people on also. You commented that actors can make the same line mean different things depending on how they say it. They had a game on the show that illustrated just that. It was called "Two Line Vocabulary." It was a scene with 3 people. Two of the people could only say two lines, but they could say them however they liked. The third guy could say anything. They had to act out a scene like that.

It was originally a British TV show (1988-1997) and started with all British actors, comics, writers, etc… and then started adding Americans like Greg Proops (glasses and isn’t Drew), Ryan Stiles (Tall, lanky guy with wingtips), Colin Mochery (Bald Canadian guy, wears bright shirts), Chip Esten (not in these clips). I think the producer of the UK show brought the concept over to the USA and continued working on it there.
