Every decent small town in middle America has an annual festival of some sort.... Big city culture doesn't get it. Its a whole vibe. In Salem, West Virginia, it's called the annual Apple-Butter festival because at Apple Harvest 100+ years ago the local women started a competition who could make the best Apple Butter. Someone has to hand stir it over a fire and keep it from burning for hours!! In Enterprise Kansas they just have "The Fall Festival," a parade and a lot of fairground games. Sometimes where it isn't freezing they have a "Festival of lights" around Christmas, or even some other time. Many places incorporate some classic car show or a small carnival into the event. Its a small town thing for sure!!!

Not true I went for years to Brooklyn NY Atlantic Antics blocks and blocks of Atlantic Ave closed down to cars that had everything I've ever seen and more at a country fair. One of the best parties I've ever been to.

It’s a street fair, it’s different than a fair with rides and things. It’s a bunch of tent and tables of people selling food, art, jewelry and anything really sometimes it’s even booths set up from actual stores so they can rep there products.

What puts most people on the psycho scale is not if you think it, but the dividing line between only thinking about it and knowing you would actually do it if you thought you could get away with it. Because there are things I kind of want to do, but won't do it even if I think I could get away with it. Part of it is because I'm not willing to take the consequences if I don't get away with it, but others is because I know it will cause a lot fallout to people who probably don't deserve it.

Dave Chapelle is a better overall comedian. Bill Burr has better jokes though. Hope that make sense and I'm not sure why it does to me. Edit: You noticed his universal woman voice. It's like key to comedy style. No black, white, Asian, etc. All women are the same in his comedy and that's how he pulls it off. He even gives his wife that voice and she doesn't sound anything like it! She's been on his podcast a lot in the past.

street fairs....usually more a local event for a small town or neighborhood. street is shut down, music, food, etc. a social event for folks that share a community and it is a celebration of said community.

I live in Dallas...there's a festival every weekend in a Dallas suburb from like March thru October. He is exaggerating on the jewelry. They typically have a variety of local art, handcrafted wood and/or metal home decor, jewelry ranging from real gemstones to the kind u make in a kiln to beads u buy at Hobby Lobby, along with baked goods, sauces, jams, rubs, etc. Also u will usually find food trucks and draft beer. A good way to spend a Sat...unless u are dating Bill Burr lol.
