It’s crazy, I was listening to EM in Mexico back in ‘02 when I was 7y/o and didn’t know a lick of English but I could still feel what he was feeling. My unk burned all the mtv music videos on vhs tapes and brought them to the home land that year. The I came over in ‘03 and became English fluent within a couple months later in ‘04, I was listening to him religiously. Givin this song, and its greatness, the accomplishment that I have shared with Marshall Mathers is his sobriety. He has been sober for 15 years; myself on year 8. Very great artist in his flow and delivery. Empathize I do with him, and listening to this song gives me some hope that I will continue with him on being sober. This song gets me through with out medication believe it or not, I just say it to my self just go in and let them boo and laugh at it and no matter how many laugh and boo and make you feel like shit go back the next night and ask for more. When I worked abroad as an elementary teacher, I made kids put them in nervous situations , not creating or pushing them , but by letting them no its ok to fail , its not about the fail or the hate , its about being the one who tried. Life is not about success ,its about being the one who tried.

In 2006, he came to my town to film a movie about a true local sports tragedy (We Are Marshall). I got to watch a few scenes being shot, including one with him in it. The music video is created from clips used out of the movie, because the song was the soundtrack to the movie. If I remember correctly, he even comes out with a version of the song that's a little different in the movie itself, but I could be remembering wrong. I haven't seen the movie in years. it could just be a different version of the song and not even in the movie at all lol.
