Robertsdale, Alabama - Baldwin County - City Tour

Thanks for tour. I was born in 1956 in Moblie, Al. And we moved to Robertdale when I was 2 years old. I was raised on a big cattle farm in Robertdale, Al. Went to Robertdale High. Back then the school went from the 1st to the 12th grade. Life was so simple back then and we had the best of all you could want. Live in the country and have the Gulf of Mexico and sugar white beaches just down the road. There used to be the Robertdale Livestock Auction Barn in Robertdale where all the cattle farmers would buy and sell cattle. Back in the 60s Loxley, Robertdale, Summerdale, and Foley was big potato farming. After the potatoes was dug out of the fields the went to sheds in all these towns to be washed, sorted and baged ti be shipped out either by rail or semi trailers. I remembered field trucks would be lined up as far as you could see waiting to be unloaded at the potatoe sheds. I live in Atlanta now. (YUCK)! My sisters still live in Robertdale. My son and daughter live in Foley. Most of the farming is gone now. All the land is being developed into more and more housing.

Quick note on this, El-Rodeo is great, amazing authentic Mexican food, the building is like, 30 years old, don't let that scare you off, they're building a new one.
