Mine also does this.. ive noticed though when i turn on the a/c the load created by the a/c pump causes the shaking to go away.It may just find a rhythem when not under any sort of load combined with the motor mounts being very soft. Ive checked them and they arent worn.. You can grab the engine by hand and shake it easily when it isnt running. no Dtc's either.. Car runs great too.. Common?

hello there , ive just read your thread im glad to hear you had it sorted , so was it just the alternator clutch pulley ? i changed mine about 12 weeks ago but the only symptom i had was on full lock it would chirp loud, im just curious if you could upload a recent video of how it sounds and looks now if you dont mind? what did you do regarding the oil splatters?

06 tdi - brm with dsg (n) - mine shakes too, but not that badly, id get your mounts checked maybe ?, some movement is normal but that seems a bit excessive compared to mine, probly moves half as much as that, more of a constant shudder than a shake.
