Hello!! I want to make a few of these as Christmas gifts this year, for a lionfish hunt competition next year. Do you have a printable list of materials, tools and instructions?

In the Workshop manual it specifies the oil to be used is SAE90 och 80w90. Why did you use 75w90?

Step 13, removing the feed hose and fitting from the upper steering station, do you just make sure it stays topped off when you reinstall the cap? I like the T instead of having 2 return lines.

It a useful Video for sure, but the atf just gets recycled. IMO it would be better to make those return lines go go to a Waste container.

I bled the hydraulic steering on my boat and found your video useful before I started doing it. One comment: I noticed that the oil coming from the ram in the return hose was polluted /miscoloured and you therefore should not return it into the same bottle as the new oil. Use another bottle to collect the old oil from the ram and make sure you have enough oil to bleed the system.

How did you get along with this hitch as I had previously installed a curt hitch with the 2 inch receiver and wished I had gotten the 2 1/2 but practically the same hitch and bent my frame. Now I’ve got the frame fixed and will be installing the same hitch you have but am worried about bending the frame again.

Didn’t have clue how to do it, thanks to this video I have successfully got my boat ready for a very important weekend. Can’t thank you enough. Just one question, where can you get the adapter device to go into the header tank. I just had to stand there squeezing a bottle of fluid.

That oil is too black, probably burnt, needs to be changed more often.

First, take out oil dipstick. This will allow the oil drain plug to come out easily. There will be no vacuum holding it in.

I’ve built this and I love it! But I’m having a problem getting the bottom piece off to empty the fish. It’s stuck on so tight, I’ve even done Wd 40 and olive oil. Tips?
@lmannyr111 ай бұрын
Hammer, tap it evenly. Sand the mating surface to give more clearance if needed. Don’t put on so tight.

Nice video. Looks really simple. Have a two helm system. Will this method work when the system needs to be refilled after a cylinder repair?
@lmannyr1 Жыл бұрын
Yes it will
@a2022z2 Жыл бұрын
@@lmannyr1 Well I tried. But it did not work perfect as air was sucked in to the cylinder when you changed direction at the wheel. Eventually it would probably work. But it went much faster when I bled one side at the time instead of leaving both ports open. I think perhaps it would worked better if I hade made the T-connection further away from the bleed ports on the cylinder. I was pretty close. (1 feet)

Why is the Volvo Penta drain plug a flat blade type? Would be so much easier if they used an Allen head or bolt head. If someone designed a replacement they’d make a fortune!

Purchased: August 2023 - still works GREAT!I kzbin.infoUgkxxsUnXhGsSJLim_XnMHyQK0u3XVaW-CGn live in a studio and during the summer it gets scorching hot - really old building with no ac units. I can’t express how EASY it was to install. This unit has been a life savior during the summer and some days during other seasons where it can still be a bit warm at night. In this small place is my friend, a husky, poodle mix and myself. We need AC - lolI don’t use the dehumidifier option - I’m not sure if it will leak in my house, since I did not install the small draining hose that came with it. May look into it late but I don’t worry about much humidity in the apartment. I don’t understand why the negative reviews since all things mentioned, I personally did not find issues with. Definitely worth it!
