Jett, friendly word of advice, brother: TAKE YO TIME. Learn your buttons, there's a decent tutorial in the menu. Don't forget to feed Arthur, your horse and take care of your guns (in the weapon wheel, click R3 when you choose it). The best way to experience this game is literally just slow things down, explore and hunt. Loving the series, brother.

Some tips for Jett if you don’t already know: -If you want, make sure you continue to do good deeds. High honor will give you a more emotional and amazing story. -Make sure you keep up with hygiene and other maintenance stuff, like cleaning your gun, brushing/feeding your horse, etc. -if you lose your hat, you can retrieve it from your horse saddle -donating to camp will give you honor -control your urge to buss lol Hope this helped, Jettsquad 🆙🔝‼️💯💯🔥

Half of my fun in this game is dressing Arthur in different outfits so in case you didn’t pick it up you can buy clothes at the general store in valentine you can also press X in the change clothes menu to unbutton the top 2 buttons of his shirt and on some clothes it looks pretty dope you can also put the pants leg over his boots or whatever it’s pretty sick also to fix the pulling out ur gun in fistfights problem you still have ur gun equipped even if you put it away so just make sure to select fists first before trying to fight anybody even if the gun is in the holster been enjoying the series a lot though thanks for the content my man

OMG, I'm crying with laughter here! You are a funny guy. I just discovered you, actually on the last mission yesterday, and enjoyed every minute of your playthrough. Don't be too hard on yourself, as I accidentally killed a lot of people early on my first playthrough. One time I was riding my horse a bit fast, rounded a bend right near Valentine, plowed into some npc, killed him in the collision. BAM, instant bounty. :)

Some tips that might be useful for you: -Getting good honor in this game is fairly easy, on the top of my head the 2 easiest methods are greeting and releasing fish, now you won't have access to fishing this early on in the game, but for greetings you will get a tiny bit of honor for every 5 NPC's that you greet, so greet often. -In this game, these are 2 health bars, cores and rings, although both are very important to keep up the rings are most important in combat, cause the rings are your *actual* healthbar, the core just determines how fast or slow your regenerate the ring, same applies to stamina and deadeye. Its simple enough to differentiate between the two, the core is the picture in the center, heart, lighting, eye etc... and the Ring is the white bar that surrounds the core, you'll level up the core as you progress in the game and the ring around it will increase too. Also, to help you out with constantly dying there are 2 types of consumables, tonics and food, food such as meat and canned goods will increase the core whilst tonics such as 'bitters' or 'health cures' will increase the ring, if you're low on health after being shot then you should take a tonic, not food. -Keep your bounty low, I know that a $150 bounty ain't exactly cheap, but when you have the money you should definitely pay it off or else you'd constantly be attacked by bounty hunters, bounties can be paid off in train stations, just try to find the mail clerk. Though do note that bounties are regional, so your bounty in New Hannover won't apply to say Lemoyne, bounty hunters too will only hunt you if you're in the state that you have a bounty in, so try to avoid any state where you have a bounty until it is paid off, only if that's possible of course. -Witnesses exist in this game, when you commit a crime then there is a chance that someone might see it, and if they do then they are going to search for the closest lawmen, should they find the lawmen then you are immediately going to be wanted. For single witnesses it'll be easy enough to kill or intimidate them, but for multiple witnesses its almost impossible to stop them all, hence why you should always wear a mask if you're gonna commit a crime, because then the witness won't recognize you, so even if they call the law then although the law will start searching the area, they won't immediately go after the player and you can sneak pass them, this only applies for as long as the "wanted" bar on the top is dark red, if it is bright red however then you're better off running. -Related to my previous tip, lawmen recognize your outfit, if you're gonna commit a lot of crime then change your outfits often, even if you are wearing a bandana the law is eventually gonna catch on if you keep wearing the same exact things, same applies to horses which is why you should use stolen horses instead your main horse to getaway from a crime scene. -Bounty hunting is a good way to make money early on, now you'll need to not have a bounty yourself to initiate it, but basically walking into a sheriff's office will trigger a bounty, a lot of these bounties have some decent rewards for early game, on the top of my head Valentine's sheriff has 2 bounties available and both of them combined will yield you about $100 give or take. -Remember when in the video you nudged an NPC with your horse and he immediately started shooting? Well to avoid this then you can focus on the NPC if you were to accidentally budge into them and a new "defuse" option will appear, this will calm them down and prevent you from being randomly shot. -Places to avoid: Blackwater, it is red for a reason, do not enter blackwater unless you are rescuing Sean, you will immediately be ganged up by pinkertons and easily outgunned. Van Horn, absolute chaos, there is going to be a shootout every single time that you enter this god forsaken town, and I know that might sound fun but with the firepower that you have right now you won't last a minute in Van Horn. Anywhere in the forests, wildlife is dangerous, from bears to wolfs and snakes there are a lot of hostile animals, and some can even one shot you. -You can rob trains in this game, simply find a train, preferably one going through a secluded area and eliminate the guards, then you can go carriage to carriage looting people of their valuables, however this will make your honor go down by a lot so you shouldn't just rob every train you see

Yuup, that's one more thing to keep track of. Constantly check your guns for their condition. If they're badly maintained, they feel like you're hitting your enemies with wet noodles and miniature meatballs

LETS GO ANOTHER JETTRO RDR2 POST Jett, some small tips bro: -Headshots are a must in this game. The technique is to lock on and drift your aim stick up automatically every time. -Hold 'right' on the D-Pad of your controller to open Arthur's Satchel. -Please, for the love of God, remember to feed yourself and your horse. -You can make custom outfits and store them on your horse via the Wardrobe, so you can change on-the-go. Same can be said for the Hats. -If you do a bad thing, the cops can see you or people who saw you could go tell the cops, so be careful. -When Wanted by the cops, every bad deed you do will add a bounty, you can pay this off at the post office, often found at the local train station.

10:35 one thing i haven’t seen from the comments so far is that if you want more backstory/insight onto what happened before the game started, holding LEFT on the D-PAD opens arthur’s journal, which he documents stuff within the lands as you progress, and he notes stuff from missions you’ve done, there’s a “blackwater” chapter you can read and learn from what happened before you actually started the game

40:33 cleaning weapons makes the weapon make sure it stays tip top shape, make sure your reload speed, range, accuracy, etc stay at its highest instead of your shots not hitting. gun oil will fix it up, hold L1 and press R3 on a gun you have equipped to maintain and inspect
