Robertson screws, for folks in the U.S., are Canadian-made screws with a square slot on the screw head. You will need a #1 square slot screwdriver bit to install them. A Phillips head screwdriver bit will strip them.

After installing 2 of the 982 x 462mm windows, here's what worked best for us: 1. Remove any interior brace first thing with grinder as shown or hammer and chisel if glued in. 2. Use wooden support frame rather than cutout template to decide where to position window as the wooden frame has the largest dimensions. Tape wooden frame to interior van wall, place cutout template in center of frame and mark center of template by drilling a small hole in van wall. 3.Have asstant tape the cut sheet metal as you cut with jigsaw to support the sheet metal. 4. Use a very thin bead of Sikaflex around outer cuthole or on backside of exterior window frame. A little bit of Sikafkex goes a long way! Remove any that oozes out onto van with isopropyl alcohol and paper towels. 5. When screwing the window to wood frame from inside the van, have assistant outside the van push and hold that specific area of the exterior window frame tightly against the van until screwed into place. Otherwise, the screws may not fully attach to the wood frame, leaving the exterior frame too loose. 6. We found no need to make a second center hole as this video shows. Make sure there's only one layer of sheet metal under the wooden support frame. Good luck!

I cut the interior braces with an metal blade on an oscillating multi tool backed up with a thin piece of hardwood.

The last step is to check outside the van to ensure there are no gaps between the van and the window frame. What if there are gaps?
