Rural footpath crossing found near the village of Mobberley. It was accessed walking through a muddy and partially flooded field from a local road. The weather did not improve whilst waiting for the train, and I ended up filming in a brief, heavy hailstorm shower. A Northern service and a second freight service were due whilst walking back from this crossing, so I filmed the Northern service from a distance, and the freight light movement from a nearby road bridge over the railway.

Same as traffic 🚦 lights! Never trust the signal!!! Signals don't stop trains. Use your eyes 👀 and common sense!!!!

I trust these level crossing lights more so than traffic lights. I have never seen a level crossing system fail with a train passing whilst its green.
