Nightmarish. As if the rioting and deaths weren't bad enough, the estate itself is one brutal backdrop!

I use to go to moselle school. We couldn't go to school due to the windows being smashed. I believe we was off school for 2 weeks.

I hear the police occupied that estate for a few months after that weekend in October 1985. Did they actually kick everyone out of their own homes at the time? Don’t get what they mean what it was reported that the police took the farm.

The question I would like to ask is why did the police think it was going to end well when they tormented, aggravated, criminalised, dehumanised and forced those people in a corner because of the colour of their skin, did they not think about Newton's Third Law.

They never did any of that though did they.? These people were never wanted. They expect better treatment than us.

MIDNIGHT DARK EN The violence shows why they were profiled to start with. All the scum protesters should have been rounded up and jailed.

It wasn't all of the police that were racist and they were on the front line and saw how high the crime was which obviously effected their judgement and attitudes towards the criminal minority. Nor was every black person anti police or had a siege mentality or were involved in crime, but regardless the slaughter of a 45 year old 'community bobby' with no riot control experience as well as the attempted murder of 2 or 3 other coppers wasn't ever going to solve anything. This event probably lost the black community a lot of sympathy and support from many typical white people in the UK and it's still not forgotten by the police, the only thing it might have achieved is a sense of revenge against the police but it didn't help anyone from what I can see. The UK is not the deep south of America and its not a racist country when compared to the rest of the world, but it shouldn't have ever got to the point of wanting to murder police officers for revenge. Its a real shame that it had to go so far.

Nah, the people there acted poorly and as such they got subjected to police attention.
