Broadway Is My Beat-"The Dr. Robbie McClure Case" from Classic Mystery Radio.
A doctor is shot right in Danny's office.
Original air date: August 4, 1949
Starring:
Larry Thor
Charles Calvert
Broadway Is My Beat, a seriously noir-ish mystery/crime drama, ran on CBS from 1949 to 1954. Larry Thor portrayed Times Square Detective Danny Clover, delivering classic hard-boiled narrative while solving crimes which took place "from Times Square to Columbus Circle - the gaudiest, the most violent, the lonesomest mile in the world."
The show originated from New York but soon moved to Hollywood, where it was directed by Elliott Lewis. A New Yorker himself, Lewis filled the show with a convincing mix of sounds and effects that immediately pulled the listener into Clover's gritty world on the streets of NYC.

SPECIAL NOTE ABOUT AI IMAGE COPYRIGHTS:
Modern copyright law and recent court decisions establish that creators of AI images can indeed own the copyrights of said images if there is 'considerable' human input regarding prompts, and/or the images are further altered after the fact.
Please know, to begin with, that I pay a monthly subscription fee to use the AI software, which means a considerable financial investment. I've also invested hundreds of hours learning about AI as well as figuring out how to tweak/focus/hone my (lengthy) prompts in order to get the very specific results desired for these videos. Even at that, I probably reject 10 images for every one I use. Additionally, almost every image is further altered (Photoshopped) to remove undesirable features, fix oddities and to add my direct creative touches. All of my images have indeed received considerable human input and thereby meet the lawful requirements for claiming their copyrights. I hereby do so.
