I'm wondering if too much steaming can affect water into the lungs overtime

The steam cools down as it travels to the vocal chords and by the time it gets there, a lot of it turned into small droplets already and gets absorbed into your vocal folds, and a lot comes out when you breathe out aswell... That's why your breath makes clouds when it's cold outside. Medically seen, the lungs are already a very moist and warm area. And before the moist could get into the lungs, it has to travel a long way ;) hope that answers your question! :D
