Set look really good job old stone mason retired now use cut the set with pitching tool like a bolster it had on end it tungsten tip all found best way to cut set with a mini grinder with a good diamond blade just cut it under halfway and then tap off always get the angles dead right look really well 👍 just try it and see what you think 🤔👍

As a steel fabricator I know nuthin about stone work. That is a whole superband beautiful lesson for me. Question: For a driveway and car weights, should I use wet cement in place of the dry mix under the setts? Cheers team. All the best.

Thanks pal. Appreciate it No, same method just make sure you have a good sub base under what you’re beddding on. You’ll need 150mm of compacted MOT type 1 stone. Then bed on 50mm of 5-1 semi dry mix 👍

As said previosly, I really enjoy your videos. 100% first class. Do you ever deal with reclaimed yorkstone? Would be great to see a video of how you went about that compared to laser guided porcelain perfection. Joint alignment, width and tolerances etc? Random patterns? Would you try to square everything up and create super consistent joint widths? or would that spoil the beauty of reclaimed stone? It’s all down to the sub base. Needs the right prep. Good depth of mot base and 50mm of mortar (semi dry) pointed up with a slurry grout
