Original kings,gods of kpop!! They are the first ones who mixed few different geners in one song (GD,TOP and BLACKPINK's producer TEDDY). BB are first in many things in what today's groups are using (rap,mixed different geners,writing your own songs and making it,fashion,high budget MV's etc.) Thanks to them today kpop is what it is. They were the first group who was brought into the world representing korean music, first who won MTV award back in 2012/2013 as a first asian group, first who design a lightstick(GD was the one and VIP aka BB fansbase has a yellow crown/flower)...There is a lot to say about them because they exist since 2006!

Bcoz they started it despite of the backlash they received in the past. Even a small detail like KPOP idols wearing colored hair is a BIGBANG trend, particularly, GDragon's coz he was the who really started it. Before, KPOP idols can only wear brown color for their hair aside from the original black. Then came GDragon, BIGBANG's leader. He released a solo album with him wearing a blond hair. Imagine, in a sea of black and brown hair, you are the only blond there. .😅😅😅..after that, BIGBANG members wore their hair in different colors and style as well. Then everyone followed until it became common now to see KPOP idols wearing different colors and hairstyles. You might even be shocked to see if a KPOP idol wears a brown or black hair nowadays or a simple hairstyle. 😅😅😅

Every idols has a lightstick nowadays. And guess whos the first invented light stick in Kpop. The one and Only king G- Dragon. Big bang also the first idol who composed and produced their own song. NCT was the first SM group that went hard into hip hop and rapping, circa 2016ish. Bigbang has been doing their thing since 2006. But you are right that SM is known for their kpop songs being genre Frankenstein's, TVXQ's Rising Sun from 2005 is a good example

You think this is lit? They are the kings of live performances and take this to another level live. I would recommend their 2015 MAMA performance of Loser, Sober & this song. But most importantly BIGBANG just came back with their first comeback in over 5 years! (They did drop a song four years ago once they started their military service, but it was an unpromoted song). The new song is called Still Life. It is a rock ballad kind of Beatle-esqe. It is a beautiful song with very touching lyrics. Please check it out.

I would advise you to watch the videos for the songs "Loser", "We like 2 party", "Bae Bae" and "La La La" (the last is their debut song from 2006 where they are still teenagers). A couple of days ago they had a comeback after a long break (unfortunately only 4 members, this is a sad, unfair and long story, you can find an information about this if you want).
