The mass of the gargants somehow broke reality and delivered that massive 24 mortal wounds, I can't see any other explanation.

Great battle report. Playing brodds stomp this weekend so perfect timing. Oliver could have tried a cheeky flying gargant monstrous action to get the gate breaker to deny grand strategy at the end but loved the quad six for pulverising strike

Really love than in AoS 3rd Ed its not all about just massive damage and carnage. So much thinking in needed for objectives & BT's makes it so good. Really hope 4th ed has this similar feel.

I hope that continues to be the case and GW doesn't cave to demands from people who prefer killing stuff - I see lots of complaints about save stacking, rally and resurrection, even from people who claim to want the lower lethality those mechanics provide. Games are at their best when players have the pieces they need to outplay their opponents, rather than simply destroy the opponent's pieces first. So much of the game is risk management - dice can always go against you in a dice game, and engaging when you don't have to is just asking to be punished.

In the dead of night you hear Christmas songs being sung. Annoyed and irritated from the noise the OBR raise from the ground to destroy whatever is making all the noise. Looks like it might be more than they can handle.

I'm glad that you replayed the list vs more objectives and trying to score points as it confirmed the same issues I had with a similar list (super powerful in melee vs melee if the other person charges into you, very weak to score points with battle tactics and many objectives if the opponent goes for a points game). Maybe I'm wrong but doesn't the battle tactic that requires you to retreat 2 units, require you to charge back with 2 different units (can't just retreat and charge)?

Not that it would have won you the game, but OBR Sculptors Entourage Turn 3 would have given you 2 more points :) Movement should just needed to be just outside of your territory (achievable here IMHO ) But great Battle Report, as always! :)
