This afternoon, Major League Baseball announced a series of changes to their on-field Nike uniforms following the disastrous rollout of the new Vapor Premier line before the 2024 season. The decision was finalized following discussions between MLB, Nike, Fanatics, and the Major League Baseball Players Association.
Changes include:
the return of larger-sized player names on the back of jerseys
the return of embroidered sleeve patches
bringing back the original fabric used during the 2023 season
fully customizable pant options for players

Sweet. We ask for the Brodie take, we get the Brodie take. Appreciate it! The ASG move back to team jerseys was the smartest thing MLB could have done. There wasn't one ASG jersey that looked good. Low contrast ratio, bizarre colour schemes, and a general disjointed feeling. The 2021 jerseys in particular were nightmare-inducing. So yeah, we needed the team jerseys. Thank you, MLB.

It’s unfathomable that Majestic isn’t licensed to make jerseys and t-shirts anymore. The quality of the main baseball uniform was thicker, yeah, but quality stitching and overall good fit, plus they also manufactured lighter material fan jerseys, typically the pinstriped ones. So glad I still have a Baltimore tee.

I don't know it for a fact, however waiting a year just means MLB has a ton of the Vaping issue uniforms. So the inventory needs to be purged first before the order is restored. At least they could be transparent. MLB has more black eyes over this and the Oakland/Sacramento fiasco.

Let me open with this, Brodie, I love my baseball jerseys and I did buy 2 this year when I visited games at Citi Field and Dodger Stadium. Nike did a lousy job. Period. Majestic made great jerseys when when they had the contract. I have two pre-2024 MLB Nike jerseys and they are better, but still inferior to Majestic. In fact, I bought Nike baseball jerseys when my alma mater won the NCAA College World Series (Tennessee), while the quality was not as high as the MLB jerseys, they were also less than half the price. Since I am a 54 year old baseball fan, not a player, my opinions are less important than players, but I would love to see MLB and Nike offer us fans a "coupon" to use toward a new jersey in 2025 as a way to make things right. The look is one thing, but I finaly got my hands on a "new" jersey. The material from the old jerseys are so different, they feel so much lighter and cheaper. I can see this as a benefit to the players, but as a fan you need that jersey to last for years and years. The new jerseys feel like they will fall apart in a couple of years.

Let’s call a spade a spade here this was nothing more than a cost cutting exercise form Nike and Fanatics. Tailoring pants that’s costs money, making letters a numbers smaller that’s saves more materials and reduces cost, making crappy patches from vinyl and not stitching them that’s a massive cost cut, making the material thinner means less used and more savings. Nothing more than the greed of Nike, Fanatics and their investor the MLB. The whole goal is to reduce their cost per unit and increase the cost to the consumer the fan on every unit. This is why Fanatics make such crap clothes and jerseys to rip people off. They’re not a clothing company they’re a shipping company. They have no place making apparel other than to rip people off with subpar items. They own betting companies not to help the community but to bleed money from people any way they can. Rams should have kept the entire St. Louis design , but simply switched the colors from navy & gold to blue & yellow the Rams always used in LA ( before the move in the 90s ). There is images of the STL Rams Logo just with the colors I described. And a guy named Ramirez did a whole design job on the uniforms and helmets. It should still be out there " Ramirez Ramswire Redesign Behance " or something to be put in your favorite search engine......

I assure you while it may have been Nike’s specs, Fanatics had the ultimate choice to let a sub-par product out its door. QC is a big deal in manufacturing and Fanatics should know this. Nike specs, Fanatics approval of the final product. Stop ignoring that.

The letters on the backside jerseys are very small 👎👎👎 MLB jerseys were awesome with Majestic NFL authentic jersey quality from Reebok were the best
