What a round from these guys! Course Record from Jon Rahm and an impressive round from the owner Ben Herman. I hope I didn't embarrass myself too much. Had such a fun time and hopefully will be doing more rounds like this in the future!
Also wanted to take the time to clear something up. So when I say I've only been golfing for 5 months, I'm talking about taking the time to actually play and get better. I played it when I was young around 10-12 and would randomly do Top Golf over the years and make the occasionally youtube video or Vine, but for the past 12 years I have been putting all my time and effort into Ultimate Frisbee. Now that has shifted over to golf. Hope that makes sense.

agreensubstance The course has 150 slope and 75.0 rating, so even if you know the course a 67 is damn great. Even if you are a scratch golfer you are not going to shoot 67 on this course.

as someone who actually plays quite a bit of competitive golf I can say that everyone becomes less fun to play with during competition cause everyone is trying to get in the zone totally focused on their own game, only way to tell if they're fun to play with is outside of competition

I've been playing for just shy of a year now and am just starting to consistently shoot in the low 90s. Have yet to break 80 so to see you shooting like this is pretty inspirational for me. I picked the game up during COVID and I absolutely love it. Great video.

Can anyone tell me who this Ben Herman guy is? This dude is playing golf on the regular with Jon Rahm, was partners with Micheal Jordan in a Pro-Am and apparently is the new owner of The Silveleaf Club. Yet i can't find anything on where this dude came from??? What i do know is he casually shoots a -5 while rockin Jordan 11's...dude is a boss in my book. oh please. Riding in a cart playing in perfect conditions on your home country club course is a helluva lot different than walking 4 rounds on a tour setup course in a wide range of conditions. He's an excellent golfer, but there are thousands of guys like that, there is still a huge gap

I agree with what Jon said. Brodie it is amazing if you have only played golf 4 months. And you speak about it as if it is normal to hit the ball the way you do after playing 4 months. After you have a couple of years in you, the way you're going I would expect you to break par every time and to go deep every now and then. You just hit the ball so much better than anybody I've ever seen who has only invested 4 months in the game. I would think the majority of the work you need to do now is 100 yards in.. and also maybe learn tonight swing full shots when you hit like pitching wedge or 9 iron but maybe take one less Club and hit a 70% shot. I mean dude your swing is there . Congratulations.

Dude I'm in a similar position, only 24 and plenty of knee problems. I decided to hang it up when it comes to things like basketball and soccer, it's just not worth it I want to be able to walk when I'm 60 lol. I've started playing golf over the past few months and it's so awesome to play a sport again and feel competitive and the feeling of improving is so awesome. Pretty cool that I was able to find this sport when I thought I'd never be able to compete again.
