I would highly recommend going to see “Newsies”. Although it’s probably the least “Disneyfied” Disney musical, the score by Alan Menken and the choreography are incredible :) xxx

What an exciting weekenk!!! We haven't gone to see anything live yet since covid. Bristol looks lovely!!! ONE DAY I'll make to the UK!!! 🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧 I wish trains were more available here in the US! When there is one, it's VERY expensive (usually more than flying, but I'd rather travel by train). Covent Garden is lovely also!!! So many shopping and dining options!!! I enjoyed your vlog. It’s a shame you didn’t know more about the Beauty cast. Gavin Lee who is tony nominated was lumiere, he also originated Bert in Mary Poppins. None of the songs are new, they are all from the musical which originated in 1994. It’s a brand new production that is still officially in previews before it’s opening night in week or so. Always important to bare that in mind when watching a show as the creative team are still making changes to see what works and what doesn’t x

Hey Hannah, yes you're right, forgot to mention how much we liked Gavin! We also loved the kids in Frozen, didn't get the chance to cover ALL elements/cast/props/set etc. I think that's it, it's an old musical and it definitely needs some work but that doesn't mean we didn't enjoy it x

I saw it last week and I agree that I really enjoyed it but I didn't fall in love with it. I'm a huge Gavin Lee fan so it was amazing to see him play Lumiere, and the servants (Lumiere, Mrs Potts and Cogsworth) and Gaston and Le Fou were the best bits of the show. I do recommend the show because it's highly enjoyable (and I honestly believe if you love BATB then you'll love the show, also being back in a theatre is amazing) I think the main issue is that Be Our Guest is such a big number (they throw EVERYTHING at it) that it leaves Act 2 feeling much lower-energy. There are elements I didn't think were done well (the wolves being projections, the final fight and Gaston's fall. Also Belle and Beast didn't have enough time on stage together to develop any chemistry, so the love declaration didn't feel very believable). Weirdly my main criticism is that the merchandise is kind of lame, especially when compared with BTTF musical stuff. All in all the performance of the actors are the strongest part of the show, with the staging being good but not amazing. But I would still HIGHLY recommend, and hope that they improve some of the weaker elements as the show progresses.

We saw B&TB a few days before you (Thursday matinee) and have similar thoughts to you. I wasn’t surprised about the addition of the songs - the original B&TB is only like 70 mins long so I guessed they’d need to pad it out somehow! I think it is a show aimed more at children, whereas other shows do have more adult jokes etc in and can be enjoyed a bit more like adults! I also agree with the Hippodrome being uncomfortable 🤣🤣 my bum was numb afterwards! We are seeing Frozen in March 2022 and can’t WAIT! It sounded epic! Xx

I'm new to your channel as i was looking for a review of Beauty and the Beast Uk tour. I totally agree with your comments on that show. I have to be honest, i was just a little diappointed. Dont get me wrong, i enjoyed it, but i dont think i'd go again. i had the same problems as u (noisy school groups and sweet wrappers) but it is a childrens show so that is to be expected. On the other hand i have now been to see Frozen twice and i totally agree with your reveiw on that as well, it has moved to probably number 1 in my favourite musicals. It is just totally magical isnt it. Glad u both had fun. x ps did u know the actor/actress that plays Sven has to hold a plank postion for the entire show! that is just some super strength right there !!!

This is a good point, the music certainly wasn't the issue, it was definitely more the flow and overall feel to the show so I agree, it's got some room for improvement. Especially if you compare to the level of the other Disney shows these days x

With Disney stage shows, merchandising staff work for Disney and everyone else works for the theatre! I remember when Aladdin came to the theatre I used to work with, some of my workmates (who were mainly on the merchandise desks) had to get new contracts (and new training) working for Disney instead of the theatre directly x

Would you be able to tell me if they include the song "If I Can't Love Her"? It was in the OG Beauty and the Beast Broadway in the US. It was sung by the beast right when he scares Belle out of the West Wing, and the show goes to intermission immediately afterwards. I would appreciate it so much!! It's my favorite song, and I'm so hoping they didn't cut it.

This was such a lovely video! I absolutely love theatre and have really missed it. Although my number 1 show is Les Miserables, Disney shows are just so magical - I was lucky enough to get tickets for The Lion King and Aladdin when I went to New York and both were unbelievable! I didn’t think I’d want to see Frozen because it’s not my favourite Disney film but I think I’m definitely going to put it on my list. I’m finally going back to London this weekend to see ALW Cinderella after it’s been rescheduled 4 times and I am so unbelievably excited!
