PLS HOW OFTEN DO U CHANGE YOUR LITTERS FROM WHEN BROODING TILL DATE N WHAT DO U ADD TO THE LITTERS
@feathers_pro3 жыл бұрын
The frequency of changing your litter depends of several factors that include but not limited to: ◾ Prevailing weather (Relative humidity and Atmospheric temperature) ◾Stocking density ◾Depth of bedding/litter ◾Caregiver's commitment to litter management e.g. avoiding spillage of water, frequency of raking the litter, etc. ◾Drinking System ◾Quality of litter material And more... Check out this video to see what you can add to your litter to make it last longer..kzbin.info/www/bejne/aHrUXp-Gq95mpdU

Like I mentioned in the video, the expected weight is a little over 1KG as a good number of them showed. And yes, your feed is good

Day 7 for me and I have lost 13 Broiler Chicks to Coccidiosis. Thinking what will happen at Week 3 like you, how many many survive is up to GOD now.
@ucheamadi1773 жыл бұрын
Bro pls reply this, mortality drives people away. So no mortality brings them back. An answer to this will give young farmers courage.
@feathers_pro3 жыл бұрын
You can be proactive about this and minimize loss. Coccidiosis and CRD are two most common diseases of broilers. You prepare for it, you don't let it shock you. Check my video on Coccidiosis treatment as that will help. kzbin.info/www/bejne/kKiaZJltm8-Dp9U

@@feathers_pro Nice, let me check it out, otherwise the mortality made hate broilers since I was successful with Kroilers (with Zero deaths). Like @Uche said, mortality discourages many. But now, I'll take recommendations from the Treatment Video
@ucheamadi1773 жыл бұрын
@@feathers_pro Me I almost gave up. But when I keyed into the organic method, I regained laughter, with zero mortality in my current batch of broilers, for about 24days now.

You're not handling the birds well. You're not supposed to lift them by their wings.
@feathers_pro3 жыл бұрын
I understand your concern, but it was a careful handling. Better than holding their legs and allowing them to flap their wings. Their weight is still okay for that kind of handling. The best handling for bigger broilers would be to carry the whole body. Thanks for mentioning that though
