I think you ought to try to borrow a back pack blower like landscapers use, you might like the very much more volume of air they can move. I got one for cleaning the deck on a 20 foot bush hog, if I didn't get it every night it was bound to rain and then it weighs twice as much and isn't going anywhere without you grab it with your mitts. Saved me so much grief it isn't funny. Trouble is you will still the high pressure one to move some of it, but the backpack can really do 90% of what I saw getting done in half the time. Might look into renting a real good one for a couple of days, you don't want to try a cheap one.

Isn't it great how something as minor as a well designed air wand can make a not-so-favorite job so much more tolerable. I think that chipper is not just your job, that chipper is your "Baby ". (no offense to your children or the wife) You have a good eye and keep your "Baby" in very good shape. Sometimes the right tool can make all the difference. Thanks for posting, KIT, doug. Regarding the fire danger on the v-12 get yourself an old fuel tank 50 to preferably 100 + gallons find a location to mount the tank on the chipper yes I know it's packed tight as it is if you manage to find a spot to mount the used tank run a compressed air line to it regulated down to say 20-25 pounds of air fill with water ad a reel with enough 3/4 hose maybe an old hose reel off an old fire truck with a shutoff valve and nozzle now the next time she lights herself off you get an easier way with more than 5 gallon of water to put out the fire before too many hydraulic lines char/burn Just thinking how maybe I can make life a bit easier for ya --------------- Jim Derry, NH
