That is most of small town Utah, there are good guys all over, but yes if they know what they are doing it is a huge plus. I stopped and talked with Paul last year and he is just a genuine in person. I spend a week every summer in Utah at my in-laws, and would rather go hang out and help in Paul's shop. Its a little over 2 hours one way so we usually only stop on the way home to say hi.

So cool that there are people like you guys that will help someone in need. I've done this a few times in my life, helped people broken down and in turn had a black family down in Tennessee tow my car to their shop, fix my leaking radiator and accept what little cash I had to spare as payment. I will never forget their kindness. There are still great folks in this sometimes cruel world.

You are truly miracle angels at Fab Rats. This was our son you blessed with this highway rescue after 700 miles into an 800 mile trip. We, our son and our friends were praying for what would be nothing short of a miracle. We were desperate to find a way we could help from 700 miles away and none of our research or phone calls surfaced any help for the two days and a night our son spent broken down on the highway with no tools, in one of the smallest towns in Utah. God sent you angels to the rescue. We will be eternally amazed, grateful and blessed by the kind act you and God achieved. Our son never passes an opportunity to help others in any and every way and was well paid forward and will continue to pay forward to those he finds in need.

He was truly stranded. 40 miles past Panguitch and 25 miles to Kanab. Talk about ministering angels at work! I count at least 5 mortals. Paul, Ben, Hunter and the guys who came through with the pump. Gotta believe that angels like Papa Cox were helping from the other side. Isn't it amazing that his truck stopped within a half block uphill from the shop. May Heavenly Father continue to bless you all.

I live in Montana with vast expanses, long stretches of isolated roads, and areas where it can be hours or days before someone else comes along. I cannot stomach passing by someone in need. All to often that person has been there for hours with no hope. Sometimes it could have been deadly if I hadn't stopped. I have had to back track nearly 100 miles to the nearest town to rent a trailer to haul a broken down stranger, I have spent enough time fixing strangers vehicles that I had to stay in hotels, etc. I will never stop being that person because there simply are not enough people who can or will do those things.

The people on Highway 89 in Utah (one of them being Butch Cassidy) are special. One of my favorite roads to drive. Just recently in my RV I helped a couple of Spanish motorcycle tourists caught in a micro-burst on the side of the road getting soaked. I've been told not to help strangers like that but something told me to go back. God works in mysterious ways and I made their American trip better. And I made the last day of my RV trip better as well.
