Dude you are not the first person I have seen with a Jones Fracture wearing the Tech 7's. Until now I felt completely unstoppable in my Tech 7's. My buddy did almost the same thing in his boots. I can't wait for you comparison video. It looks like it's time for me to upgrade. I couldn't agree more that Boots and Helmet are the most important pieces of gear. In the Nevada Desert you could be stranded a long way from help. That only gets further if you can't walk or stand up for that matter. Thanks for sharing and glade you are back on both feet again bro.

Broke my foot while wearing “comfortable” ADV style boots. Have since bought Siri Crossfire SRS - they’re rigid like a ski boot and i feel much happier in them.

Glad it wasn't more serious! I had a simple fall last year that caused some damage and I also spent more money on extra/better gear. My old bones can't take those impacts anymore. 😢
