This isn't the update I was hoping to give you guys, but the 2021 s1000rr is still in the shop. Well it's at euro cycles of tampa bay again. We thought we had it fixed with new throttle assembly and updated coils, but that wasn't the issue. It's pointing now towards a fuel delivery issue. So we'll see what happens in the coming weeks. Things to look for before buying bmw s1000rr? Common bmw s1000rr issues? s1000rr coil replacement. s1000rr throttle assembly issue.

Quite interesting that as soon as you get the flash the bike is having issues again not implying the tune has anything but pretty weird on the timing.

So the bike was fine then a flash (which one?) and then problems started?

Question : I love the S1KRR , but if you go by the stats , out of 100 bikes , if 35 BMW bikes are having some issue or the other , and quite a few recalls, and comparing this to say 5 or 10 bikes from Kawasaki or Yamaha which are having minor issues and no recalls (year after year) , this clearly shows BMW itself is not reliable right ? There can be exceptions - but hardly any of the Japanese bikes spend time at the workshop. Also, been seeing a lot of issues (some really major ones) & videos from other folks who bought the 2021/2022 S1000RR. Different people, different issues. I wish to own one, but looking at so many issues, I just want to keep away from this bike. What is the point in Spending over 20,000$ and having the bike in the workshop most of the time.

Once I crashed my rn22 and wasn't sure what happened. It seemed like it started to accelerate like crazy by itself. After doing some research I found this on R1 forum: "Reason is a problem with the APS and TPS beam resistance. The changes are so small in normal operation that when something is not in contact at the connectors, it goes crazy, seeing even minimal changes in resistance and it goes full throttle for 7 seconds". I guess I was lucky to only hit the pavement and not somebody on the road.

Man I had the same problem with my2013 cbr 600rr. I took the bike in they said they fixed the problem. And a few months later the fuel pump completely stoped priming. Now it’s in the shop getting a new fuel pump. Should have my bike back in 2 week’s. Had power commander 5 put on, quick shifter, rear reservoir delete, fuel pump, and a couple of other small things. Getting Dino tuned as well. Can not wait to get my baby back. Only has 3400 miles on her.

On my 2014 cbr 600rr, I had an issue where the fuel pump wasn't priming, but it was the kill switch. Moisture must have gotten in there and messed up the connection. After taking it apart and cleaning it, it worked perfectly! Hopefully you get her back soon! Curious to hear what the dyno comes in with! I never got the chance to run mine.

Maybe BMW updated the software while it was at the shop and it intervened with brentuning flash?? Maybe

The current S1000RR has more problems, no question. It's not just luck of the draw. They went cheap on many aspects of the bike. I sold mine
