So, there's a technique to make your diff split power to both sides. Power braking. On open diffs by applying your brakes at the same time as going up, diff thinks it's on flat ground and puts a little more power to the weighted wheel... till you get lockers..

As you were going up, was thinking is he is 2wd? I don't see much help on the front, but no clue what the other side was doing. Then you mentioned the issue and my first thought was...naa, don't try again. Those are some gnarly rocks. Later I felt repulsed by the Disney tours going by, not my kind of place at all. The trail looked awesome but the tours....blah..... Glad you turned around with no damage.

We took the Broken Arrow trail once. Had quite the run in with the Pink Jeep tours. Guy got shitty with me as he acted like he owned the place. Since he had an attitude I had to school him on trail etiquette and right of way. Was quite a standoff for awhile. Guess too much sun and heat on his skull gave him a God complex. It is beautiful there for sure.

Im watching, watching, watching that hill attempt. Couldn't see the drivers side front.....but this was so familiar to what happened with my buddy in Moab this spring in his Big-O-Ford. I was like dude ! Why is that truck struggling ?! A few times it was like it wasn't in 4x4 even in Low. He assured me it was, showed me the shifter and such. One more time a big struggle up an easy hill..... I do a crawl under, drive shaft is locked in at the transfer case all good, when he rolled the stub shafts were turning at the wheels.....and then I spied something non copasetic ! He had some truck mods done and new wheels and tires at a shop. So I asked him; "does this thing have locking hubs? " Then there was this look..... 🤔......... Newer truck to him..... I was looking at the front wheels, and the center caps were on the wheels, and they were closed caps. So right there on the trail we jacked the truck up, took the wheels and caps off.....and Sun-uv-A! HUBS under there ! Tire shop put the closed center caps over the hubs! They were "Automatic Hubs" in the auto position. We figured out one of the auto hubs was bad. Put the selectors on "Lock".....and WaLa ! 4-wheel drive works! Truck was a beast after that !😆

I really try hard not to say anything that comes across as negative. However, I wish you hadn't tried driving the Broken Arrow. That area is now scared with burnt rubber tire. I was born in AZ and have lived here almost my whole life. I've seen countless areas forever changed with off roading. AZ has so much beauty and it breaks my heart when others do things like this and then put it out on KZbin. For example, the young lady who was using the Grand Canyon as her personal golf course. I guess "leave no trace" motto is not a thing anymore.

Don't call me a hater, please, but come on now, maybe engage the front hubs. Rear tire spins, no front tire doing anything, watch 3:40s in. These trucks don't need lockers and with all that weight, lock the hubs and you should have no problems. I have a truck camper, my F250 4x4, LS rear diff, does circles around that truck in 2WD. Lock the hubs and no good youtube video i guess. I enjoyed this channel until today. And no, i will not put a thumbs down.
