No doubt that this video showed how much pain they were both in. He was cheated on by her and broke his heart, she was racked with guilt and felt responsible for his death. In the end, they both tried to find the answer, but what they didn't realize is that you will NEVER find the answer at the bottom of a bottle of booze. Take care my pearl, I loved your reaction to this video. 😎🇺🇸

Think of it like this. That was small town. It would be highly likely that those two's past would already go back as far as they could remember. Not saying it would have always been love, but the bonds formed and memories of each other would have already been just about their whole lives. That's what makes it so believable as a Romeo and Juliet type of tragedy. Everyone knew their past and is why they buried them together in the end.

This is definitely a difficult one to get through, first time I heard it on the radio I was just speechless. So sorry you had to go through something like that I'll never understand cheating on people. If you're unhappy in a relationship tell them about it but to hurt someone in that way is just terrible. I got to meet Brad Paisley one time in Nashville Tennessee at The bluebird Cafe he was there for a show, just Brad a microphone and an acoustic guitar and it was absolutely spectacular. He was already famous but he wasn't a mega star yet. So a lot of amazing performances at The bluebird Cafe.

The emotional level is very intense as the brutality of the act, and the response to that act play out. But note that there is something else that the video picked up. People are human, and humans are constantly failing. But redemption is possible for those that have faith and believe. The little girl's smile at the end tells us that she understands, but most of us are too hung up in the emotional response to take the time needed to fully understand. One of the reasons that I love Country music is the underlying hopefulness for redemption and salvation that tends to permeate the music. Add that to the great storytelling, and the form is worth paying more attention to.

When Brad was given this song, he wanted to do it with either Dolly Parton, or Allison. Not to demean Dolly Parton, but I don't believe it would have been as good with her as it is with Allison. The #2 saddest country song.

The tragic thing about this is that it's based a true story, and it's a way too common scenario for people returning from the military. Being cheated on, especially if you are deeply in love with the person is extremely rough on your mind, and it can really do a severe number on your ability to trust other people again.

It kind of bothers me when people react to this video and try to relate to themselves when they are a civilian and never having been in combat fighting for your life and pinning your hopes of survival to coming back to your soulmate to realize they care very little if at all for you. The civilians have no idea the kind of torment the thought of a soulmate and staying alive for them to have it taken away after making it through hell to find a worse hell.

all that pain , because of 1 selfish moment. anytime you start to do something STUPID , you should think of your spouse or get a divorcé FIRST. when a cheating spouse confesses , its not to be honest ITS to share their guilt. its to relieve their own guilt. SELFISHNESS
