As you shared, Glad this did not happen on the trail. An assortment of hose clamps have been part of my spare parts kit along with spare fuses, tire valve stems and valves, lug nuts, and many other items. Glad you are home and enjoying PB & Jelly. Thanks for sharing.

Just a note if you ever need a bigger clamp you can put two of them end to end to make a bigger clamp in a pinch.

Glad you got it fixed and made it home. I learned years ago to swap those hose clamps out for ones you can tighten. If you never remove them they seem to work fine, but once you squeeze them together to remove them they lose some of their strength.

Definitely T-bolt (turbo / intercooler) clamps on everything. Just have to order them in the right size you need as they don’t move much. Those factory style clamps are worthless as you guys found out the hard way.

I’m new and clarifying peanut butter & jelly was helpful. Thanks for showing all the emotions, we definitely know the feeling when something goes wrong it’s a downright bummer. To be about to go home and something breaks. I would also feel the same way. The sadness, agitation, frustration, being annoyed, and just being perturbed of why me! Of just wanting to go home, and your reliable baby, the demon child is broken. My emotions too would run wild.😂 1:32

Pressure goes up after the engine is shut off for a bit. Once it has a chance to cool down a little the pressure drops back down. That's why the overflow tank changes levels.

Those spring clamps always fail. High pressure will blow the hose right off of the stem. Our Ford Crown Vic cruisers used to have that issue on hot calls if your pushing the cruiser hard. The sudden spray of coolant all over the place was wonderful, especially at speed. (Not so good!). I’ve also had spring clamps rust out and crack on our JKU and my Ram 2500. I just replaced all the spring clamps with conventional hose clamps on both of our vehicles to avoid the inevitable. Glad you made it home! Stay Safe!!!

Good video on patients and perseverance. I'm a handy mechanical type but would have had to do a bit of complaining and a make more than a few colorful words to describe my frustration. Good work on the Jeep and keeping your cool;) Also if it hasn't been mentioned, if you repositioned the coolant container with the handle sideways you can get the pore opening closer to the radiator opening.

I know that a lot of people don't like stop leak type products, but the pellet version of Bars-Leak works. If you're concerned about the smuts left in the cooling system after a repair, machine dish washer soap and water will clean the system and heater core. Safe on aluminum, brass, copper, and plastic. I don't do any road trips without coolant, oil, transmission fluid, brake fluid, belts and hoses plus the Bars-Leak product

Definitely sucks having to do repairs when on the road. Last time we went to Colorado, one of my niece's rear brakes froze up in Kansas after having driven from Ohio. Luckily she made it to the hotel we were staying at with an Autozone a few miles away and my F250 stocked full of tools. But it was 100 out and not how I wanted to spend my time after driving 14 hours lol.

I'm glad you finally made it home without any "dyin' by the side of the road repairs. Vehicle trouble can be a real kill joy on a road trip. I'm sure everyone at the "Meet and Greet" felt for you and had no problem understanding why you weren't at your greatest. There seems to be a bit of debate about the worm gear clamps and the original spring clamps. The worm gear clamps unevenly and that is why the OEM doesn't use them. The spring clamps loose their ability squeeze after they have been removed. I've decided to go with the OEM clamps and buy a new set as needed. Hoping not to jinx myself-So far, so good.

It's to bad you couldn't add some washers where the fan mounts that would go under the tabs of each mounting place. 3 to 4 washers and hopefully you won't be to close to the engine. It's just an idea 💡 hopefully you can use it for another Situation. So have good trip home.

Pretty cool AMW overnighted you V2 components, I mean you are probably a pretty important voice for their business but this stuff just comes up with modded vehicles. I am personally impressed with their support on your build. Glad you found the big issue fairly easily. All the other drama is just standard cooling system bull. I just resolved an overheating issue on mine literally the day you posted the Jeep beach vid which I was terrified was a head gasket, thank god it was just a crap Motorad thermostat the dealer put in prior to my purchase. All you Jeepers be aware, these dealers can’t get Mopar thermostats right now so they use this low grade Motorad garbage, if you are overheating mysteriously check that thermostat first.

Def Commando😂😂😂 , i just cant wear the same pair for 2 days 😂 , but thats just me.. oh and kevin for future reference if you just turn the radiator cap a half a turn back ( lose) it will click and then it will only build like half the caps rated pressure . So it will still cool plus you can make it to where you are going and fix it there , so it wont leak. I have done this and it stopped the leak until i got it home and replaced the radiator clamps in my jeep👍

haha I just went through that with my Jeep on the grille except I replaced my radiator with a Mishimoto V2 Performance. I have the AEV bumper and warn 10s plus off road lights. Had to pull all of that just to get the stupid grill off. My winch sits so close you can't even get a piece of paper between it and the grille.

When you eventually get home, you are going to need to drain that coolant as you mixed Organic Acid Coolant (what it should have) with multi purpose coolant. They will react with each other. So once you get home, drain it, and fill it with just the organic acid. You probably already knew this, but I would hate for you to get a hole eaten into that 392.

Stock vehicles break down every single day. Lots of issues with every vehicle make. What’s important is that they take care of you and AMW ALWAYS takes care of their customers and they do it super fast unlike most dealers these days that have a wait time and back ordered parts. I’ve put over 10k miles on this and have jumped it and ran it at highway speeds through whoops and desert. Having a fan clearance issue after abusing the vehicle isn’t really all that bad.
@erievon1
@erievon1 Жыл бұрын
That's right on point. Remember this is a highly custom build, you're going to have hiccups. But if AMW jumps right on helping you solve it and iron out the gremlins, can't be too upset.
