Wow! My 7 year old son and I just watched this video. He loved it! He told me to play it again and cast it on our big screenTV so we can hear it on the Bose sound bar. He now wants me to make my Jeep sound like the Stepchild. Great job, Chris!

Chris - you are amazing and talented! So many twists and turns! Too bad it couldn't just have true dual exhaust down each side. Kevin, you look like a kid in a candy store at Christmas again! Close-up on Brit's mouth - priceless! StepChild has always been the best build and most capable for all occasions Jeep JL out there. LiteBriteNationIsExhausting!

So glad to hear Chris's comments on the Cat's. Modern units do not slow down the exhaust flow. If anything, they give the gases an extra volume to expand into, allowing them to slow down without impacting the performance.
@joecat101 Жыл бұрын
The open exhaust sounded like the engine was reeving higher RPM's and was definitely getting there faster. Great job Chris, you are the greatest asset in the whole shop. Be well all.

If it was me I would have done a dual exhaust with mufflers on each side. But I prefer a quiet exhaust. You couldn’t do that with how Kevin is and what he wants lol but it’s definitely pretty sick! Super custom which is badass!

Oh that sounds amazing! Can't wait to hear and feel it in person. Now you have me wondering what my 3.6 v6 would sound like with a magnaflow exhaust. Not that good, but better than the stock super quiet no thrills sound.
@LTUSATV Жыл бұрын
I have a custom exhaust on one of my JK's that has a 3.6 with the factory silencer deleted and a magnaflow muffler, not dual. Sounds a lot better than stock but oddly the 3.8's sound deeper.
@marcfox622 Жыл бұрын
I'm with you Kevin, I also like catalytic converters for the same reasons you do. I'm a little different on exhaust systems though, I prefer a performance minded single exhaust over a dual exhaust system. Makes for a simpler system and can perform as good as any dual system. I do like the sound of Flow Master. Paul Cox on Fab Rats uses Flow Master and love the sound his wrecker has.

I know the microphone can’t pick up the true sound of it being in person, but that sounds awesome anyway. Do you think that the reason the open sounds so good, is because there are actually 2 exhaust notes together per se? Like 2 voices in a duet, like they used to sing back in the day. Great job Chris for packing all that in such a difficult space. You are the man.
