How do you know if the drive shaft is balanced, not trying to be a smartass, I'm just trying to learn more abt what to do, if I ever replace a driveshaft.

Taj Colvin good question. Usually if we suspect an out of balance drive shaft we will remove complete shaft and have it balanced. Thanks for watching. 🇺🇸🇨🇱👊🏼🔧💪🏼

Vibration. Experience will tell you if it is the tires or the shaft. If you have a shifter, forward and back bounce is drive line. Side to side is tires. Before you get it balanced, you first make sure it is in phase (both yokes parallel to each other)

I had a universal come apart on me doing 55mph. I never even suspected it was a universal. I thought it was a steering issue. Live and learn. I was Bob tailing to a repair shop and the universal exploded. It was ugly

TAT Express Inc. I was driving for a low life at the time . Regular pms , lol. I complained for hours before I convinced him to take the truck to a shop. I just got into traffic doing 55, bob tailing when the universal came undone . Just before it exploded the steering wheel started shaking so violently that I couldn’t hold it. Then the universal came apart in pieces. It was not nice
