Broken Harley Davidson Saddlebag Support Rail

Had a broken saddlebag support bracket that attached to the saddlebag fender strut. Found these plates that allow you to attach and join the strut and the saddlebag support bracket. Purchased the brackets off of Amazon for $15.59, and approximately 9 months later, still holding.
Used 5/16 - 18 x 3/4 bolt for the top bolt to thread into the saddlebag fender strut.

I've had those joints welded. Only to have those words crack apart like original welds did. This looks like a good option to me.

Is it possible to jyst remove that bracket that runs across the fender

If your talking about the fender support bracket yes you can remove that, repair it, or get a replacement.
