The anime made it subtle: [1] The mother's on a rooftop, and the starry sky reflects on the floor (maybe). [2] The "thud" sound after that indicated she jumped off the building, killing her in the process. [3] Those thugs/gang/loan sharks or whatever came to hee home because she probably stole (or maybe it's debt) some money to buy the "dress". Anyway, 11/10 episode. From balls to bawl :3

I didn't cry when I watched this episode, but I felt something on me that is very strong. I have Asperger's and ADHD, and I'm in the process of finishing my University PhD after two Suma cum Laude degrees. I have a mom and a dad, but only recently my dad started bonding with me because he didn't understand my problems before. My mom instead looked beyond the problems I have - that I'm now trying to slowly overcome - and supported me when i felt down or when I was confident. Maybe because of her trust and love that I've gone alone to University and now I have a home that I can call my own, as well as, possibly, a job that will make me happy and fulfilled. I wish just to hug mum for everything she has done for me, for the struggle and the fights she has done for me. Even if some times I have tantrums against her, i never called her with bad words because she's my mum and the first person who belived in me. I hope my parents, my family, my friends and I can live in a kinder world, and I can make that world happen. I'm sorry for the papyrus, but I need to vent up my emotions, after that masterpiece episode and your personal, real story. Man, I'm right there with you. My mom died a couple years ago and she raised me by herself basically my entire life. Sometimes I wish I didn't say this or that but in the end I think she left happy. We were always quite poor and my mom always said it was her dream to travel, so a little after her passing I started travelling abroad to maybe keep her legacy. I don’t cry often as I grew up in a household with the thought that “boys don’t cry”, but this one got me. I watched it on my own and I almost started crying as soon as the episode ended, but I came to youtube and saw you reacted to this episode. The part that got me was when the mother was saying she wishes she could’ve done more, and when you started talking about your mother and how amazing she is, the feeling only got stronger. When I watched this I genuinely bawled my eyes out too. Also being the eldest kid of a single mother with two others besides me that she raised I look back at her efforts, multiple jobs, working 6-7 days a week and this episode reminded me that life is sometimes so unfair to good people. I was never hungry, I was never without clothes on my back, she did her best so I’d fit in. And so this episode broke me down watching it. Shoutout to all these single parents who sacrifice themselves to give their kids the world.

I watched the episode on my own. Teary. Watched several reactions, teary each time. Hearing your own story gave me perspective that I hadn't even considered, that some people might resonate with how Acro-Silky was feeling. Your relationship with your mother is absolutely beautiful in the aspect that she fought so hard to make sure you were happy and supported your dreams fully, and that she is your world. Much love for your brother, this episode got me too. I wasn't expecting this from Dan Da Dan and I was just covered in tears. I cried my heart out. My mom was also a single mother while I was growing up, I can relate. The other part that hurts is that my sister passed away but my niece, her daughter has to live without a mother, I couldn't stop crying. Thank you for sharing your story and your mom's. Its been a while since I read the manga, but man, the backstories for some of these characters are TRAGIC. Really manage to tear you up really hard. Make sure you have tissues next time, there will be moments in the future where you will cry again. On a brighter note, happy bday big man!
