Hey Joey, looking at the struggles your iron has, especially with the shield holes, it clearly does not have enough thermal mass for that type of board. Maybe you can buy a tip that has more mass, but has the same width? I know for my iron they do sell regular ones and ones with a wider "body". At identical temperature settings those make a huge difference for me.
