Noice, I just finished up a Durge play through that’s basically the same exactly play style with Maxing crits except instead of monk and Ranger, I took 5 Warlock and 4 Rogue for stealth and crowd control with spells. Completely broken build

This is perfect. Currently doing a solo Tactician with a Durge who tries to murder as many people as possible. I first went into gloom stalker 5 but now that I hit lvl 6 I was considering switching to shadow monk for that shadow teleportation :D. Crit at 13 is insane, though. Putting this in my browser's favorites. In Bhaal's Name. Edit: Also now that I've seen a few of your build videos. Gotta say, I usually just "wing it" and go with whatever (sub)classes I feel like and whatever items I find that feel like could benefit my characters, instead of looking at builds online. But, your videos are really solid and easy to understand and follow, and having the continuous footage showcasing it is a nice touch. One thing that would make it even better (and this is just my opinion, obviously, you'll do whatever you feel like and what bests suits you, your video prep and your format): showcasing the builds at earlier levels. It' super satisfying seeing it at level 12 with all the gear, but it would be nice to see what it's capable of for the majority of the game. Maybe not every level for the sake of time, but the key few ones.

Nice guide ser, I am currently using a Shadow Monk on my Solo run and think the Helmet of Grit is the best headpiece option as the additional bonus action is so valuable with Shadow Step. I play it 6 S Monk, 4 Ass Rouge, 2 fighter for the additional feat and guaranteed crits on surprise rounds.

Im doing a shadow monk Durge too, but instead of fighter and ranger, I choose 4lv on rogue ( +2d6sneak attack) thief for extra bonus acction and feat, and 2 levels on warlock for devil sight and pushing eldrich blast.

6 monk, 3 rogue and 3 ranger is also a good build.

Warlock 2, especially Great Old One Warlock, has a couple of advantages in this build. 1) Devil Sight of course 2) because of 1), you free up a ring slot since you're not rocking the Eversight Ring 24/7 3) Mortal Reminder. If you play this build right, you're going to be getting a lot of crits and being able to Frighten every other enemy in the area is not only useful, it's thematically perfect for a shadowy ninja assassin.

the thing with those builds is, you always show full max perfect builds. when you are maxed out the game is almost done. after 1000 hours in this game, I can tell that the important parts are the early till midgame builds. why dont you show builds that get you the best lets say till lvl 8? most of all for honor mode, where the hardest part is the early and midgame, till ketheric.

I am here to showcase a build and teach you how to create a specific character. I am not here to teach you how to beat Act 1 and Act 2 with each build, that’s a little much. Not to mention B-Roll and fights themselves taking hours to record just a few minutes of footage for these builds. I’d love to have the time to explain every little detail throughout the game, but frankly that’s never going to happen.

Was thinking of some crit focused durge build but half orc barbarian for crit damage, desthstslker mantle is alsi such a fun cloak to use as you can burst someone down in a turn then go stalk your next kill

My first Honor Mode run came to a pathetic end last night only a few hours into it. I'll take the hint from the universe and use this as my next build. It looks amazingly fun and is a 180 degree turn from my usual play styles. For, like, Bhaal and stuff!

I literally just saw Hellgloom Gloves in the Notes section for Flawed Helldusk Gloves, which is what they are called when you get them from Dammon at the Last Light Inn.

Always can grab the Booaaal sickle in act 1 underdark. 2D6 on a one handed weapon is sorta no joke. Just have to keep a companion around long enough to sacrifice them.

Maximizing your crit and stealth is actually better for a neutral / chaotic good character as you can assassinate key characters and spare the most npcs possible. My team was: me as shadowmonk thief who used the gifts of bhaal for good, a bladesong fighter thiefling to distract people, so i could kill and steal with impunity while she distracted them with a song; And a utility wizard who learned all the usefull spells and buffs, like flying, change size, speak with animals, featherfall and telekenisis. All in all i think we killed not more than 12 mortal sentient beings in the whole campaign + 3 i killed unwillingly as durge. In act 2 we managed to kill the orc, the bugbear and the rooftop archers unseen before we stormed the castle with the harpers.

#TodayILearned that you can get this armor on a good guy playthrough. You just have to separate your pickpocket character when your main is talking to Sarevok. Wait till he summons the red ghost, switch control to the pickpocket, SAVE GAME and then ROB THE GHOST lol If your stealth and dex are high enough, you will be able to steal the entire inventory of Bhaalist gear one piece at a time. That armor though, so OP

I did a Bhaal assasin build in my recent playthrough myself. I went with 3 Fighter(Champion)/ 5 Ranger (Gloomstalker)/ 4 Rogue(Thief). It's all for doing as much attacks with piercing damage as possible, so I can benefit from the bhaalist armour as much as possible. And while I do want to include shadow step somehow for roleplaying purposes, levitate from being half-illithid gives me all the mobility I need and if there's a long distance, I can use misty step because of the ranger levels. All items I use are for lowering the number required for a critical hit, too. I wonder why you don't go 3 levels in thief rogue instead of 3 glooomstalker ranger. You would lose an attack with 1d6 extra piercing damage, sure, but you would gain an off-hand attack every round instead of only once when combat starts. Is there a specific min-maxing reason or just roleplaying preference?
