My lower mount was breaking as well. Solution is to weld them. Are you on the Aprilia Tuareg 660 Owners Group?

How much additional weight was that tower you installed? Although I think the stock steering head should be strong enough to support the tower, it makes me wonder. You do run that beast like a dirt bike and I have seen other brands head stays fracture.

@azlong4596 I guess it is heavier.....hopefully I can weld it up stronger than the factory weld. I saw some videos of Aprilia running this bike in the economy rally? With minimal mods apparently?.....I'm sure that tower would have had more weight and extra navigating stuff on it yeah?

@@azlong4596 should I just change to a lighter dualsport bike like a husky 501 or CFR450 RL??

@@mennonitemoto5941 The Honda would be my choice because of reliability. I do fire roads and some off road with my Tuareg but not as extreme as I have seen you do. I still like the Tuareg though for the ADV stuff I do.

@@mennonitemoto5941 It will be interesting to see just what happened. Is it a stress crack or faulty welds or too thin of metal.

@@azlong4596 I'm also leaning towards the Kove 450...it already has the larger fuel tank and tower and windscreen......
