I love Martina; it's so sad to see how much she's struggling to sing here. 😔 It seems as though 2012 was the last year I saw her sing this song in top condition. For the next few years after that, the shortcomings were minor, but by 2016, she couldn't get the chorus and ending "fly" notes out very well. In this performance, she's giving her all and reaches the top note at 3:04 out of brute force but misses all the ones after it. I hope Martina's voice comes back in better form one of these days. 🙏🏻

I love Martina. I understand she can’t help her aging voice, but she can control what she’s wearing. I don’t know what’s worse, her voice or outfit. Just like any aging athlete, it’s time to hang up the cleats.

Since it is such a struggle for her on some of these songs nowdays. Obviously it comes with age, she really needs to drop this song and others into a lower key that way she can still belt it out like no other. But just in a different key. There isn’t anything wrong with doing that at all.

this isn't a matter of key being too high. something is very wrong. it's unfortunate.

It doesn't seem that it is the key the song is performed in since she isn't just struggling with the highest notes. She is also struggling with the lower notes and the middle notes, struggling with pitch and vocal control. It's really sad.

She had bronchitis a few years ago and the doctors told her absolutely no touring, but she didn't listen and went back on tour before she was supposed to and that is how her vocal cords became damaged

@@Lovebirdd What’s wrong is that she’s abused her voice for so many years that she now has permanently damaged it. As a singer myself, it actually hurt my throat to watch her trying to sing this. If she doesn’t stop trying to sing those high notes, she’s going to have so much damage that she won’t be able to sing at all.

Wow. I understand why she lip syncs now but charging people to watch you lip sync is a little much.

I think it goes to show that you need to care for your voice. This isn’t natural aging. Trisha Yearwood for instance is 2 years older than Martina and she’s never sounded better.
