I'd definitely appreciate if you made a Part 2. There's many amazing cards that doesn't see competitive play since they're stuck in a mediocre Archetypes. "Tachyon Transmigration", "Emergeroid Call". "Crystron Halqifabrax", "Batteryman Solar" (awesome support for Thunder Dragons and Chaos) and so on.

A part 2 would definitely be good. Dakki, the Graceful Mayakashi is a great example of a broken card in a 'bad' archetype. Infinite summons out of GY, that's something any deck would want. Sad it's stuck in a Soul Absorbing Bone Tower mill deck...

Not to be that type of guy, but ActUaLlY, it is a great card as cards like genex undine become either a 1 card quariongrandax, a one card phoenix, a one card phoenix AND dragster, a one card lv 9 virtual word sincro plus handloop for 1 (and also a dragster if you have sulfenir in the graveyard)

add a deskbot 001, coltwing, and auroradon to the deck and suddenly you can make whatever you want. I’ve seen a 1 card combo with VFD, +2 draw, and borreload savage

Fun fact MR4 was better for Crystrons that MR5 specifically because Halq made the quick-synchro activation of the other Crystron tuners legal, but if it chained on them they would resolve as much as possible, being unable to Synchro since there was no zone but get the extra body. This in return would allow a huge synchro play with the Tuner-Synchro monster that Halq gets out of the extra deck, the Crystron tuner and the new body (and their trap Crystron Impact allowing this play every turn without the need to go into an other Halq). Even the restriction it puts to the tuner summoned from deck is tailored for Crystron tuners, because they use the effects during the opponent's turn so that restriction would have already expired. The only problem with the card is that R&D thought not locking into Synchros for the rest of the turn OR not summoning specifically "Crystron" tuner would be acceptable and not cause any problems (with link climbing being the root of all these powerful links) It was a dreamlike, almost custom-card lvl, support for Crystrons that turned into "let's build a Link 2 monster to support each Extra Deck Mechanic" that also lead to Electrum, Verte, and the less played Bujin link.

Even in Ancient Warriors they have some of the most powerful effects in the game but restricted to their archetype. Cao De - Goyo Guardian Borrowing of Arrows - Dark Rebellion XYZ Dragon Guan Yuan - Cyber Dragon that pops a card if the opponent controls more Three Visits - ROTA They have insane effects that if they weren't tied to their archetype, they could be considered broken.

Oh hey I play Dinowrestlers! Other than Pankratops and maybe Systegosaur, no one really plays Dinowrestler monsters. A boss monster with 3500 ATK and all protection based on the battle phase, that’s honestly pretty hard to Summon...yeah you might as well play Ultimate Conductor Tyranno instead of Dinowrestler Fusion.

I actually like having strong cards locked into certain not so decent archetypes. Mainly is because it allows decks to be unique, and not being abused by generic meta deck. As well as not having that card banned.

Code Talker player here! To clarify, Cynet Codec doesn’t prevent you from searching an attribute for the turn. It prevents you from searching WITH THE EFFECT OF Cynet Codec. So if you draw into mining with heat soul, you can search any attribute. So even more broken in a vacuum. :D

Ninja Grandmaster Hanzo, a non-once per turn stratos that pretty much searches everything in the god awful winconless mess that is ninjas. It still has no way to truly be abuse, especially in its own archetype, but maybe one day konami will give us ninja support to make the deck at least playable.

Feel like there should be some mention for UA Powered Jersey. Ridiculous equip spell for a bad archetype. Double battle damage, two attacks, returns itself to hand when you bounce a UA to your hand (which you almost always do with UA monsters anyway). It’s a very simple game that can catch people off guard and steal wins. Combine it with UA Dreadnought Dunker and you get a monster that has 3500 ATK minimum, can attack twice with piercing and double battle damage, and an ability to pop any card on the field when it inflicts battle damage (not once per turn) and you have a very good equip spell on a very fun but bad deck.

Yeah, Payne 96 needs his wish to be granted by konami. I think Volcanic needs fusion too since this archetype is from GX era. Make fusion spell like red-eyes fusion that can use material from deck and good fusion monster that can cheat out volcanic doomfire from hand or GY as floating effects.

I mean, there are a lot of cards like that in a lot of archetypes. Pantheism of the Monarchs single handedly made a tribute summoning based deck tier 1 in 2016. Gishki Aquamirror is crazy. It's basically a free ritual from hand if you use the same material as the ritual you summon and goes back to the deck for repeated usage. I think the Simorgh Field Spell is crazy good. It basically makes your entire boss monsters over 3k giving you that weird spot where is hard to get rid of them and basically let's you play your Simorgh big boys constantly. It basically does everything for Simorgh but hey, it is Simorgh what I'm talking about and even with that and the link monster protecting your big boys, they are not that great.

I've found an ocl list centered around making heatsoul with 1 card starters like lady debug and cyber gadget and fill the rest of the deck with good handtraps and traps, and slowly win the grind game with the advantage that heatsoul provides or just win on the backswing with accesscode

Crystron actually have other great cards aside halqifibrax. Like phoenix banish the entire backrow on the field and in GY. This is good against heavy backrow/spell-trap reliance archetype like phantom knight, altergeist, paleozoic, sky striker, etc. Don't forget cyrstron has traits which can synchro summon during opponent's turn, disrupt their plays with quariongandrax who banish up to 3 your opponent's monsters even in GY as well. Also since this card is synchro archetype and have synchro tuner, they can make quasar, blazar or any good synchro that needs synchro tuner + synchro.

I would argue Cloudian Altus beats all of them. Aside from the usual (bad) stuff you'll see in it that all Cloudians have, its unique effect is, and I quote, "You can remove 3 Fog Counters from anywhere on the field to discard 1 random card from your opponent's hand." Yep, randomly rip a card from their hand for the cost of removing 3 Fog Counters from anywhere that's neither a hard nor soft once per turn. The only reason why the whole Smoke Grenade combo was more consistent is literally just because Cloudians as a whole is awful. The second Cloudians get a good searcher + Fog Counter spamming card (that isn't slow as hell) Cloudian Atlus will make Smoke Grenade look like Bone Mouse in terms of viability. Not that that alone will make Cloudians as a whole good, but this specific card can be a turn 1 wincon damn near on its own. It's Delinquent Duo on crack.

Most of the time you can only ss 1 vylon. And for the record vylon isnt a bad archtype they just not a good stand alone archtype due to no starter card. It pretty good in old day when only synchron matter and boss monster is strong it just that i havent see one duel where they get summoned since the last yugioh game on ds.

Salamangreats were a control deck rather than combo, which means they are very different and hard to compare. But basicly, salamangreats had a bunch of good cards that got you free advantage, where'as code talkers had too many better combo decks stacked against them.

I have played both decks, and I must say, generic cyberse has no recovery. They can dump their whole hand in to the board to make a couple of link 3s, then the opponent counterattacks and you are left with no draw engine and basically no recursion. Basically cyberse has no advantage engine.

Shaddoll Schism is not broken. Also Shaddolls were tier 1 before this card came out, however one can argue that it was because there were no real good top contenders at the time cus Salads and Orcust got hit nearly to death, so Shaddolls were starting to make a come back in popularity, and then Schism made them that much better, but it was still being used at 1. At least that's what I remember, however eventually Eldlich, Adamancipator, Infernoble Knights all came out and Shaddolls I wanna say lived a two month period of being tier 1. So I don't even think Schism should be on this list, cus it's far from broken, it's a very good card, but broken is where a card is just absolutely insanely unfair, which Schism is not... So idk, I guess I just disagree with your video on some grounds. And I checked and yeah, Schism was released August 6th of 2020, and I remember because I was topping with Infernoids while Salads and Orcust reigned supreme, and when they were hit, people started playing Shaddolls, which have a bad match up against Infernoids so I never cared, and then Schism was announced, and then it was released, and it was added, and to me it didn't make much of a difference, Shaddolls were still being played the same way, and then that was when Eldlich and Adamancipators came on the scene and Shaddolls just got out favored. So there, Schism wasn't even the reason and didn't even contribute to Shaddolls topping or becoming tier 1... It made em' better if that's what u wanted to hear.
