Seriously! I have been looking to move over to BO3 due to the increase in overall power level of Historic/Explorer. Linear combo decks that win by turn 3 are becoming FAR too consistent due to the power level going through the roof over the years, so BO1 has become borderline unplayable for me now. But I've always been so put off by converting to BO3 because; 1) I don't have time to play a one hour match 2) I have NO clue how to sideboard. So thank you LegenVD!

So I've given the deck a spin and have ranked up twice in platinum so far. And gotta say, your deck building is remarkable. You're usually never out of the fight, whenever I feel like my opponents board presence gets overwhelming, boom sunfall top deck, then every planeswalker makes a token and the tides have turned in an instant. They could have tapped the Riveteers Overlook with the ability it gained from Wrenn and Realmbreaker's passive before it sacrificed itself, then they could have played Willow Geist and still kept their treasure for a later turn. This play requires Full Control, so it's easily missed. It's not clear if this would have made a difference, though; I didn't see in any face-up plays that would have been possible with one extra mana.

@@drejerm7856 cleaning the board seems like a good choice in the long term, since a superfriends deck would have no shortage of creature removal. So, from the perspective of the opponent, sunfall is slightly better than not-sunfall? Only slightly tho

While espur super friends tends to have lots of creatures removal when you cut black it's suddenly very hard to continuously remove threats without down ticking your walkers which dosnt progress your gameplan

I tried this and seems to work pretty well. I put in 1 Nissa and made a couple of other small changes. Had some issues with Enchantments but Nissa can snipe one enchantment every turn if needed.

For a long time because of Invoke Despair being widely played. It's far from the best card in Standard, but it has a chance now!

Cards that make no value on their own are generally unappreciated. With a clean board, as a topdeck, this one is useless and has no game-changing power. Not competitive then.

I'd like to say in match 4 against mono green you got very greedy. Instead of trying to be mana efficient with falco, who you didnt want to die, you should've cast revelry. Theyd gained 1 life so youd have gained 4 and got 2 bodies. Thats great for chumping and also getting a larger incubate token. The next turn you choose not to use sunfall so you could cast the emperor, but it was greedy. You were going to like 5 for one them, even eating a land, but instead you let them keep their board. Nissa was the worst case scenario and mono green isnt common, so its not a read i can blame you for missing; id have forgotten about the possibility myself. But then you nearly die instead of having a commandong position with a large incubate token. It was a completely unforced error and then you ended up getting less vlaue from the sunfall because you tried to force getting value from the falco which was only on the board because you wanted to be mana efficient, which just wasnt needed in that case. I'm not trying to chew you out or anything. And Ive learned so much from you over the years. But it was just one of the larger mistakes ive seen you make in awhile. In youe case, you're so talented it isnt really a kearning moment so much as a reminder but for the rest of us i just want to say. Be careful. Dont get greedy. Its easy to try to optomize the value from your cards but you cant get so locked in on doing that that you forget theres an opponent in front of you trying to kill you. Its a balancing act for sure. But when an opponent has a board like that and you have a perfect answer, you've just got to take that opportunity.
