Hi LVD, just to confirm, you were right about tokens having a backside (which was changed when the incubate tokens were added). Although you're also right that flipping token sheoldred wouldn't really work because it exiles itself and returns as a saga. If it just transformed into a saga, it would work, although it wouldn't immediately trigger its first chapter.

Your decks are by FAR the most fun. I tried this deck. Lost every game where the opponent played blue or ramp green. Couldn’t get it working fast enough. I think I need to find more ways to give the scavenger indestructible since you have to wait for it to attack to use it again.

100% agreed, for years now LVD has consistently but putting out cool decks that should have no business being this good, and tbh the way he pilots them is def outstanding. Master of the Jank and I absolutely love it!

I was playing around with scavengers in a haste flying deck since exiling a haste creature let's scavengers attack right away - getting another trigger.

A particular Scavenger (“The Merchant”) also appesrs in the art of Pilfer , being robbed by Tinybones. You can see some depicted too in Dark Bargain (the little guy trying to bargain with the knight) , Eerie Soultender (following the soultender itself) and possibly in Soul Salvage (though the owner of the “corpse shop” appears to be larger and more humanoid than other urborg spirits). Haunted Mire also suggests that these spirits live in small houses in the urborg swamp

game 4, the surprise rabbit/imperiosaur is nasty. I had the same surprise from opponent a few days ago. I wonder what could be done against that one --- first thought is the expensive 3 cmc edict effect (from MAT) that chooses their most expensive creature/PW. any other ideas? not much to do vs that. I love this scavengers deck. its well positioned in meta too with the grave hate effect. feels efficient, I like the card. only thing being that its vulnerable to removal, its gameplan being too tied to scavengers surviving

I've been playing a similar list to this and a card I've loved that I think makes this list better is Saiba Cryptomancer. My list is a bit different overall in a way that emphasizes Cryptomancer [it's more of a UB Midrange list, with cards like Ledger Shredder, Tainted Indulgence, and Invasion of Amonkhet], but having Cryptomancer as a way to insulate against Invoke Despair, protect Ledger Shredder/Scavengers, and as a hexproof card you can cast to chump block as an alternative way to get it in the graveyard gives it a lot of play. I'm playing a lot less top end [only the 4 Atraxa, with Cryptomancer and Ledger Shredder as the only other keywords] and more cheap interaction - Make Disappear, Go For The Throat, Cut Down, the usual suspects except for Obscura Charm [it acts as recursion for Invasion of Amonkhet, counters Invoke Despair, and removes early threats]. I like the Combat Thresher tech here though, pretty inspired.

7:34 - you could use Kaya -3 to get rid of Ossification and get your Atraxa back. You would discard to hand size and wouldn't get a 1/1 flyer copy, but I think you can still target the Ossification. Edit: Ah you mention that at 9:21. 👍

There are no creatures currently in standard that always have indestructible. Turns out, creatures that always have indestructible aren't very fun to play against, so they're only printed very rarely nowadays.

Because this gets destoyed in ranked. I built this exact deck and what happens in the games you see in this video only happens like 1-10 games. You always end up with a 4/4 or 5/5 Urborg with hexproof and no graveyard.
