Vegeto's Kamehameha destruction finish have swirls around them, Android 21's air level 3 has a pink color for her explosion. Trunks or Base Vegeta's level 3 have a upward facing blast as a destruction finish. Making Broly's green wouldn't be such a hard task would it?

I think the transformation was just too much work. They would have to reanimate everything over again just for his legendary form since its a different model. Thats essentially them making two characters.

You can't just copy animations and paste them onto a different model, you have to remake them from scratch. Which they could've done if you were willing to wait until next February for him to be released

@@thegamingreaper1293 the speed and properties of moves are actually way easier to code than say, changing a hair style, as the moves changing have more to do with tweaking already existing properties in the code and changing visuals in DBFZ means they have to start from scratch as their modeling style relies too much on manually modeling the transformed character. Think of it as an RPG paper sheet: it's easy to write down when your armour value goes up, but harder to actually draw your old character wearing new armor.

Just gonna point out, Broly neutral is really good. His normals reach far, cancelable beam, and great projectiles. His biggest issue is his pressure which will require some conditioning. Also his damage is absurd before the power buff. Able to net solo almost 6k no supers and 53-54% with SKD solo

I believe they made it so he reverts after the level 3 super for the simple reason that it would cause a lot of confusion if both Brolies were on the same team. You can argue the same for the gokus but they generally have much different clothing in terms of fusions (and their clothing is more iconic than Broly's) and colors in the hairs. For Broly, his main outfit isn't what sticks out, it's his bright green hair and aura, so having two Brolies with glowing green hair could cause nightmarish set ups where the enemy isn't totally sure which Broly they are fighting.

Just a tip. you can combo eraser blow into gigantic heave with a micro dash after the 2nd hit, them super dash for combo. if that's too hard, you can vanish late to make the timing easier

DBS Broly is the werry 1st Grapller in the game if you think about it beacause it forces you to block so he can open you up with grabs something that the original DBZ Broly (wich is a lot more focused on zonig and counter zoning)and 16 who's grabs where always a lot slower didnt really used to do. as for the transformation issue here's my take: i think they did it cuz they wanted to make you afraid of Broly, when he snaps and turns into a different form it makes much more of an impact that staying always the same after the 1st time (i mean just look at his intro). Btw dunno if you mentioned it but Gigantic Fury punts the oppoent in sliding if you have used a smash attack or when grabbing them in hitstun so you can do a combo then Gigantic Quake call assist and then Gigantic Fury and keep the same side unlike with Erazor Blow

I love using dbs Broly in dbfz. He not only fights like a berserker but he's also pretty edgy in the game unlike the movie. He only goes super sayin during his supers, so he keeps his black hair most of the time, he can change his clothes color to black, and he's voiced by Johnny Yong Bosch instead of Vic Mignogna in the English.

On the subject of Broly not retaining Super Saiyan, I honestly think if they were going to allow him to power up in the first place, like he does during his supers, why isn't he in Super Saiyan to begin with? When he was teased at the beginning of the season we saw him in Super Saiyan without beefing up, so they couldve made his base form Super Saiyan with his shirt on and buffing up after his Level 3. It would've looked better and made more sense lore wise. If there was one Character I would get into modding for the purpose of fixing their in game model, it would be this one.

With the multiple 2ms, if you do 2 then a medium, you get a combo. If you do 3, jump up and you can get a combo that way too

I would have been ecstatic if they made his beam perform-able in the air but the air version was the mouth beam he does when he first comes out of the water against Vegeta. Other than that I'm extremely pleased with his kit, however imo his jab is way too slow and his light command throw should be faster to match with the other grapplers. It's pretty frustrating to just get mashed on when trying to mix someone up when grab mixes are a character's purpose basically.

Honestly I'm not mad about Broly not retaining his Super Saiyan forms after his Supers, I enjoy the small liberties they took with him. I like to imagine this as a post-movie Broly after training with Goku a bit and learning how to trigger his Super Saiyan transformations, but still not being able to fully control them while they're active. I see them as a moment of him letting go of control and then regaining control afterwards.

I feel broly should at least keep his normal ss1 look after lv3. So that there is no size /model change. And instead of just +5% damage boost, he should get more super armor on his moves to compensate on this slow attacks. It should feel like there is constant fear when doing a block stream on him that he might use his super armor to trade blows and reverse the pressure. Whould that change be too OP?

I don't think an increase in muscle would be that big of a deal as a transformation as long as the bone structure remained the same. It would require a different set of animations to great the right game feel, but there's nothing that seems technically infeasible about it. Now if Broly increases in height between his regular form and LSSJ, that's a different story because all his frame data would have to be tweaked and rebalanced. I don't remember it saying anywhere that Broly can't drop out of super saiyan, and even if it does or is the case for Z Broly, DBS Broly is in a different continuity where Kale was already shown doing the same thing when she mastered her power and reverted out of LSSJ in the Universe Survival arc. Plus he did it himself in the movie when he returned to Vampa. You could argue that he did it unintentionally from exhaustion, but the same could be applied to the game; for the purposes of Fighterz, using the super drains Broly enough to revert him to his oozaru-power-utilizing base form. If Broly was supposed to retain his transformation, how come Goku doesn't retain kaioken, SSJ3, or SSJ4 after his supers? You can understand with SSJ3 and kaioken, but the whole point of SSJ4 is it modifies Goku's body so he can handle the extra strain of fighting at that level of power and not have it affect his stamina. I think it's intentional that Broly only loses his shirt, nor am I disappointed with it. Although I am still a little curious what the thinking behind the choice was...

My thoughts also on Broly not retaining his legendary super Saiyan form after his transformation maybe arc system actually intended to include it but based on how scary DBS Broly moveset is, they just omitted it maybe because during their testing on Broly they might have experienced a lot of game breaking instances and nerfed him just to keep the game balance, for example this character has a ridiculous number of command grabs that makes DBS Broly as a game changer, and imagine if Broly retains his legendary Super Saiyan mode with significant boost would break the game, it's like Android 16 with adult Gohan's level 7 Potential unleashed but consuming 3 bars of meter and can be used again multiple times, just my interpretation but just a maybe, since arc system works is always loyal to a characters lore when comes to their character construction but they had stick in maintaining the balance as always because of course, it's a fighting game

@Shakeel Ahmed that might be the a valid reason since they did that to Goku GT where he doesn't stay in super Saiyan 4 because it will affect everything about him, from a petite posture to a normal size character which increases the hit boxes so they omitted it, but i know how arc system works create their characters especially if it's anime based, they will try to keep it as close as the lore on every character, just like Guilty Gear, for example Potemkem, since his a person of limitless potential when it comes to strength and also very kind hearted person yet at the same time a very devoted peace keeper, he constantly puts restraints on himself to prevent him from killing anyone as much as possible for he fears his overwhelming strength to go out of control that's why as the Guilty Gear series progress, he gets more wrapped in armor, But you're right, it's too early to go into conclusions now, they might tweak it on the upcoming patches or even on the next season, who knows, maybe might suddenly add in Raditz as a DLC character.

@Shakeel Ahmed well i can justify the one they did xenoverse compared to fighterz, well we both know that xenoverse is more on RPG element over head-on fighting compared to fighterz which is a competitive fighting game which means they will prioritize balance over lore which keeps both games fair in their on concept, but just maybe they might do some tweaking on game onwards from now on to give him the legendary form and even Goku GT's super Saiyan 4 form, who knows? We might be surprised that they actually included it, or maybe they create the first and only level 7 super, which is the legendary super Saiyan transformation for Broly DBS, yeah they might do it for him if they want the character to be more lore based but i wonder what would happen they actually did that.

The animation is there, the hair is there, ArcSystemWorks just wimped at the last second because they really don't want characters to transform in this game. They didn't want with Goku GT, they don't want Broly now. As you've said, Golden Freeza is just a colorswap.

I think they didn’t want to make broly transform to be able to use him for the dramatic finish in which he transforms
