Brompton - Looking for a stylish alternative to the work stand?

Introducing the H&H Display stand for Brompton. It wouldn't look out of place in your hallway. What? It wouldn't!

Another possibility is the Minoura DS-30 BLT Bike Stand that I acquired a few days ago. It works well with the Brompton. It has two heights: one for standard wheel heights, and one for small wheels. It raises the rear wheel, and by parking the Brompton while in the stand you can invert the option to raising the front wheel. It also conveniently has a slot in the rear axle-holder for the hub chain. The stand is very light and folds away to virtually nothing in a second. It is also quite cheap.

@@stushikesandrides I'm happy with it so far. Having said that, I haven't yet used it as I've only had it for a couple of days - I've only tested it but it seems to work very well. I bought it at the same time as buying a more traditional workstand. The idea is that sometimes for minor adjustments I can't bother going to the trouble of mounting the workstand on my flat roof and bringing my bike up there (a bit like the situation you describe in your video). But when leaning my Brompton against the wall to adjust something or other best done with the bike unfolded, I've found it too many times unceremoniously crashing to the floor, The last time this happened, a new rear mirror I had just installed actually broke! Hopefully, those days are over now - fingers crossed.

How was this working out? Seems perfect for doing a quick lube of the chain instead of getting out my large part tools massive bike stand. How do you connect it to the rear of the Brompton?

It’s quick and easy to use. Great for bike cleaning as well as routine repairs and that kind of stuff.
