Brompton Metro Backpack - new for 2020

Just got this today, Best brompton bag ever in my opinion. Light and not too expensive as the waterproof versions. The rain cover is a huge plus and I really prefer the bag pack design rather than the shoulder sling type.

I just purchased one too. It's good to have the option to use it as a backpack or a bike bag. And I got it for carrying small amounts of groceries and beer😁

Hi, thank you for your continued videos. Great. I think the pouch is meant tocgk on the inside of the handle bars. It will fold then.

I put the metro pouch on the other side of the handlebars, facing me. The bike folds fine like that.

Another simply BRILLIANT and highly informative video more fully presenting the new Brompton Backpack. They’ve certainly managed to keep the weight to a minimum bearing in mind that includes the frame, and I like the usual attention to detail with thought given to the discrete block mount, magnets and glove-friendly zip pulls. If I didn’t already have the T Bag, Borough Bag and an Ortlieb...I’d be jolly tempted! 🤔 Why on earth would anyone want to carry 14l of wine... when they could take 14l of gin is beyond me! 😂 Hats Off for going back to test the fold with the fridge magnet, I am wondering if it will make further appearances and may eventually have its own spin-off KZbin channel 😉 Thanks again, Stay Safe out there! 😁

Thanks! Was waiting for the backpack video. As for the pouch on the handle bars, couldn't you put it on the other side (So it faces you during a ride and provides easier access) so that it would still fold?

Good video... I was waiting for this but I already bought it hahahaha. It´s fantastic, I love it. Also bought the Metro waterproof pouch and same thing happens when putting on front of the handles and folding..is not possible. Have to use it on the other side. Cheers!!

I have the bag, it's really good. I don't have to worry about a messenger bag swinging back and forth, messing up the ride. And I don't need to carry a backpack on my back that will slows me down.

The lack of bag options is what has prevented getting an electric brompton. Hopefuly there are more products in the pipeline!

@@amyhaldane9231 Valeria of Barcelona now make a range of open or closed shopping bags for the Electric. I have an open top one which holds 30l in my estimation mostly in a single compartment. Of course, when battery is fitted, the weight limit remains low at 6.8kg for contents - I sometimes go to the supermarket without battery to increase my carrying capacity!

During the video, there is reference made to what some in the US would refer to as the Brompton insignia or icon on the front of the bag. The presenter uses trip???. Not quite catching the term. I always enjoy learning what’s new with Brompton!

Chris Shelton it’s the Brompton triptych. A triptych is a series of 3 images or paintings that go together. Pronounced like ‘trip tick’ (see google dictionary)

Hi, great videos, I've enjoyed watching them. Had you considered dealing with install of Ergon grips on the M bar? I'm currently considering it and finding that the information is a bit sketchy. As you no doubt know, the M bar was slightly modified 2017, I have a 2018 H model with the rubber grips, which can be removed by undoing a screw. However, there appears to be disagreement regarding if you need to cut the Ergon G1 in order to get it onto the modified M bar. Most of the web-based info deals with pre-2017 M bar install of Ergon grips, which agrees that cutting is needed unless you buy the twist-shift grips, which appear very short indeed. I'd be very interested to have properly expert and up to date info, as I'm not very handy and somewhat dubious about cutting up expensive grips!

The Ergon GP1 fit M bar perfectly. Installed on for my wife's and GP1 Leather for myself. They all work well. No need to cut at all.
