i love these bikes!- i was amazed one day in a train station near maidenhead- a guy whizzes in on a brompton in suit and tie, and before my eyes, this bike folds into a handkerchief and he alights the train with all his gear bags and laptop in seconds taking no space up.. i sure felt like a fool for not seeing these before, and later walking miles away to get my car, and waiting for busses that never seem to come..i cannot think of a better investment for town travel and im buying a brompton as soon as i get to the UK.

Took a test ride for 15min yesterday- didn't want to go without one, so S6L 2017 ( new shifters) arriving next week It was a fantastic machine and felt very speedy and manoeuvrable also got some good reactions from the public must have been the huge grin on my face . Got back to the shop and met another Brompton owner shared notes etc anyways great product, have to catch up on the years I have missed riding the Brompton

I was so grumpy having to pay £1000+ for my brommie, 2 years back. Now I can see why the price is so justified. Other folder brands such as Stowabike, Apollo, Dahon, Bickerton etc etc, just do not compare. This is true homegrown British craftsmanship, built to last.

my B is by far the best overall product I've ever bought so far ... and truly changed my life for the (much) better in a way that I'd never expect... after 5 years and around 26.000Kms is still rock solid and keeps rolling smoothly af ... Videos like this warm my heart, it’s similar to a factory show around in a Fuji factory of their cameras. I’m so happy I bought a Brompton. My local supermarket is a mere 0.8 miles away from my home. Instead of using the car, I take The Brompton with a Brompton basket bag attached. This has enough room for my 12” pizza, my bottles of wine, brandy, and soda plus all the other necessities like milk! I have to say that I hope the (factory) workers earn a crust they deserve in putting together such high quality product. Thank you guys. And it’s made in England.

The frame manufacture looks sorted, what about peripheral components such as the wheels etc, is the quality of these items up to scratch - less convinced. Are these all made in the UK also?

I have a Nickel edition Brompton that having issue to install the carrier block because the two holes are not straight. That's why I am here to check what went wrong at the factory side and how come to make such a big mistake on my Brompton.

Excellent video which is prompting a question: 1. I have a Raw Lacquer H6L, which means no pigment, but yet it appears to have a bronzish color. It is different than the plain metal frame parts before painting. Where does the color come from?

raw lacquer parts get a special chemical treatment (for cleaning and to protect the parts against oxidation) and they get a clear coating.

I bought a Brompton this year. I love it but I miss: 1. A STRONG kick stand in the middle as standard, for god sake!! I bought one put on the rear hub but it works very bad, it's weak - the bike easily falls. 2. Belt drive so you wont get dirty by the chain now. /Stockholm

I use my brompton every day to go to work now for more than 5 years although my brompton gets his maintenance every year it’s not exactly a bike I can trust, the last year I have several issues chain (and gear issues I use only 1 of the 6 gears because... It’s just not working anymore) and also punctures... at this moment he gets his maintenance (in a different store) but this is his last chance, the electric dahon looks nice... So I don’t know, maybe brompton is just not the quality you can expect or the store technicians in the store aren’t, of course both are brompton’s problem to solve.
