Great video! I recall about 8 years ago I was in Montreal for a conference and I packed my Brompton to ride. I also rode along the canal, but only had an afternoon to do so, so I could not pedal as far as you two did!

@@bromptoning oh yes thank you. I'm here now, my third day. Did the Petit Train Route, The Lachine canal, inner city trails, LaSalle to LaRonde. I look like a lobster...lol I much prefer the fall...tomorrow light rain!

I was there today (in the pouring rain)! Leaving from Rosemont (near the Olympic Stadium), my goal was to reach the Champlain Bridge then return by the bike path that passes through Saint-Lambert on the south shore and return to the island by the Jacques-Cartier Bridge (bridge which I often take to go to Saint-Lambert and to the Boucherville islands). I turned and turned, asked several passers-by - I never managed to find the entrance for the sidewalk/bike path of the Île-des-Sœurs/Champlain Bridge (the most frustrating thing was that I could see the entrance for the cars)! Damn...

We did that ride too! We crossed to the Île-des-Soeurs via the Ice Bridge. That'll be in the next video, and it'll come with a Komoot map so you can see our exact route. 👍

That is an all day ride. I am a bit of an expert of the area. I always wonder what visitors think of the bridges and the loop de loops underneath them.

Love the loop de loops! Fun to ride, and best of all, the loops avoid traffic intersections so we never have to interact with cars or wait for lights to change.
