I took a Bronco bass and made it like I wanted it. In my opinion the Seymour Duncan Hot Rails humbucker pick up is a great way to give your Bronco a quiet full sound. Thanks for watching.

That's a really cool looking Bass! A friend is thinking of changing the pickup in their Squier Bronco and I recommended a Hot Rails type pickup, thanks for posting this!

If you do decide to build another custom Bronco would you please video the work ? Especially changing the bridge and intonating it ! I'd love to learn more about this ! Thanks for an awesome video !

I truly believe in making a instrument your own doesn't matter what you start with or how much the mods cost it's one of a kind and it's yours

what size bridge did you use cos your G string is right on the edge of the neck and is incorrect and possibly unplayable there The bronco bridge is 17mm is your replacement a 19mm ? what ever you may need to move the bridge left a little cos you have plenty on the E side

What kind of bridge did you use on this, and was it a straight swap, or was there some new holes involved?

It's a no name bridge off of eBay. About half of the holes lined up. Had to drill a few. Super easy to upgrade.

Awesome mod on the Bronco there! I'm going to be doing some work on mine soon. Can I ask how you did the design on the headstock? Is it waterslide decals or something else? I'd like to do something similar, but haven't decided what design to use yet! Thanks for showing your work!

it looks like a Bronco Bass - you shoud use a smalle bridge with 17-18 mm string spacing...

There is a guy here in Ohio who makes picks covered in leather that work really well for playing bass. Bass isn't my primary instrument so when I play bass I use a pick and use the ones he makes. They are called Skin Tone picks and they are available from his website or from Sam Ash. :o)

What type of paint did you use and did you sand it down to bare wood ? Beautiful bass ! I have one in the Dakota red finish and have a Dimarzio Fast Track strat humbucker plus a push pull pot for tone. I bought a custom Musicmaster bridge from Hipshot but I may try to find one like yours it appears to be an easier installation. Again that is one awesome Bronco you have there !
@stupideinstein57715 жыл бұрын
I don't recall the brand but it came from Walmart. Purple paint/primer then purple glitter. I didn't sand the paint off but I scuffed it up real good.

Great fit. 2 holes closer to the pickup on the bridge were a perfect match and then I drilled pilot holes for the rest. You would have thought the bridge came with the guitar. Perfect spacing. The SD is a strat hotrails and man does it sound good. A guitar tech played it and loved the sound plus the short scale so much that he said he was going to buy and mod one himself. I paid less than $7 dollars for it.

Dude. Thank you and I appreciate you doing this video. Your upgrades are superb. That said....jeez, will you please stay on topic? The title of this video is "Bronco bass mods" but you are all over the place. Nobody is going to find this video and want to hear about your skin condition, picking and positions, finger plucking, Carol Kaye, technique "lesson"....etc. You don't need to make a ten and a half minute for basically 4 minutes worth of actual details.
