Imo, if you’re into off-roading, then go sas. I went with Black Diamond (fairly capable off-road) but I’m not gonna be doing a whole lot of rock crawling. If you’re just into looks, then go sas - I think it looks great with 35” tires. Or, if you want to save $, then a 2” lift and 35s will give you ‘the look’

Forget the Sasquatch. I initially ordered a Wildtrack. When it did not make the ‘21 production I had to adjust for a ‘22. Better for me. I was able to drive a manual, and an automatic in both engines. TBH the 2.3 auto impressed me the most, and looking at the future repairs on twin turbos - choice was easy. Stepped down to a Black Diamond with rear locker, kept auto, (dropped price by $12k) and will put a set of 17x9 with a 305/70R17 Ridge Grappler. Remove the crash bars and call it a day. No real sense in dropping the extra cash on the Wildtrack, or on a 2” lift to gain 1” of ground clearance. Just my $.02

I went with a Sasquatch on my Badlands 4 door for two reasons: 1, the cost is about the same as if I were to do the equivalent upgrades myself, and 2, factory warranty. That warranty alone is worth it. I have a build date of 29 NOV.

We did a SAS on our 2.7 Badlands Lux. It was only a $2500 option. Buy 5 rims and tires, lift, shock, locking front & rear diffs and then install it all….It’ll cost your more then $2500. To have to write a check for a few thousands dollars for rims & tires after you’ve already bought your vehicle kinda sucks. That said, I absolutely love the options of some of the rim & tire combos out there. But I still don’t see myself buying aftermarket rims & tires. I’ve never done it on any vehicle yet. Don’t plan on it with my Bronco. Which, BTW, shipped last Friday. It’ll be here between Nov 1st-7th. Can’t wait!

@@svtcobra615 Yep. But question is, was the SAS worth it. On the lower trim levels, where the SAS is $5k. Yes, I could see not doing it because rims & tires aren’t that much when bought aftermarket. Lifts aren’t that much either. And if you don’t mind n out having both lockers. Then you won’t be at $5k. But us higher levels, where the SAS is only $2500. SAS does make sense.

This is why the Bronco is such an awesome vehicle. Individuality. You build your Bronco they way You want it. I ordered my Black Diamond with the Sasquatch package because the locking front and rear was important to me. I do wish that Ford would have made the Stabilizer disconnect on option on all of the Broncos. Who knows, maybe down the line. But, for me it was worth the wait to have the Sasquatch. I also must be pretty lucky because I got my build date the week of December 6 this year. I ordered my Bronco back in June of this year. When I ordered it, they told me it would probably be the end of 2023. It worked out for me. I hope it works out for the rest of you. After watching all these Bronco videos, I can't wait to have mine. I'll be in a good group of people who are also Bronco owners.

Even in the Off Roadeo videos it's apparent that front and rear lockers are more crucial to getting traction and making it up trails than big tires. Also, Brad Lovell stressed all the engineering research that went into the development of the Bronco advanced HOSS suspension and the tuning of engine/transmission/suspension for optimal performance in one or two Bronco ride-along videos I watched. I would definitely choose a Big Bend with the Sasquatch package over a Big Bend with an aftermarket lift and 35" tires for those reasons.

Living in Colorado and wheeling way up in the mountains it’s super important to have the lockers and the sway bar disconnect. I think you can recreate the suspension for cheaper than the cost of the Sasquatch but add front and rear lockers and headlock wheels in and the Sasquatch is an incredible bargain and it’s under warranty! If I were building a mall crawler or just doing light off-roading I’d skip it and go the custom route.

Even though the Sasquatch package is a fantastic package that really amps up the bronco on the lower trims especially at a good value. I tried to get them to change back to a 2.7 but never got changed before my VIN -- sorta my fault so I am not upset... but my non-sas will be good for commuting...I think I may check into a lift/ tires when I reach the time for new tires because I do commute a lot :)

I'm all for modifying your order in order to get your Bronco built sooner. I built my Outer Banks with a soft top, without the Sasquatch package, and I received my Build date and VIN 30 days after converting my Reservation to an Order. I did upgrade my Outer Banks with the Advanced Auto 4x4, 4.27 Gear Ratio and Rear Locker. So I'm only missing the Front Lockers from my Hero Switch setup. I also added Aux Switches and the High Pkg. The biggest thing I sacrificed was the 2.7L engine, but I'm getting my 2021 2.3L Outer Banks in Nov. 2021, so I'm super happy with making that sacrifice.

@jawall1068
@jawall1068 2 жыл бұрын
@@JC-cv3up no. I feel like the GOAT modes are a little “gimmicky”. If you understand the fundamentals of off roading, and you know when to use your lockers, and 4H/4L, that’s all that matters. The main things they change are the shift parameters, and engage 4wd or lockers depending on the mode. The base has sport mode which will hold gears better. During the off roadeo, I literally only used “normal”. The rest is learning when to use everything and not relying on a “GOAT mode”. I highly recommend attending an Bronco Off Roadeo event.

What if we don’t live anywhere near you?? Will you ship these items for my mechanic to put on? What do you with the items removed/replaced? Thanks and love all your videos. So informative and keeps us up to date.

My Wild Track has Sasquatch by default however I still feel there are too many factory benefits to not select it on another model plus and it unless you plan on installing front and rear lockers and doing a lift bigger than 2 in anyway. My personal opinion is it's like ordering a Tesla without autopilot. Just order it so it's a part of your VIN number so if you get into an accident they will replace your factory equipment.

I have already seen to many lifted Full Size broncos that have to bypass an obstacle and look like they have Sasquatch but they don't have gears and lockers.

Get it two-door base with the 2.7 in Sasquatch and you basically have a wildtrak minus a few goat modes

I feel like I’m the only one who picked a badlands non Sasquatch! I’m not a big off roader. This bronco will be my weekend/road-trip vehicle. Some off roading here and there to camp or find some beautiful views, but nothing crazy. Currently driving a rubicon gladiator no mods and it does great on 32” tires. Couldn’t see myself needing much bigger. Also ordered in late October and it’s in production 6 months later. Wasn’t that bad of a wait.

I went with the Badlands, 2.3 6speed that way I get the HOSS suspension, The rear and front lockers, with the 4.7 ratio. Only thing I am missing is the lift and 35s

So if you get a Badlands that comes standard with the disconnecting stabilizer bar and add the Sasquatch package, do you still keep that disconnecting stabilization bar option or it gets removed since it gets replaced with Sasquatch package options? Ian debating if to get a Badlands then add the Sasquatch package or just get a Wildtrack that already comes with Sasquatch as standard but no stabilization bar disconnect.

I like the idea of bigger tires out of the box and the lift, however I'm not in love with the squatch rims, is there an option to have them all black vs the rim that comes standard?

I want the Sasquatch package, but with the two inch lift plus the bigger tires, will make it much taller and I go to the city a lot and tall parking garages are way more expensive and harder to find, so I’m just going to rock with a rear locker and probably get mud 33”

If I end up ordering my 2 door Black Diamond, I’m definitely passing on the Sasquatch package so I can get the manual transmission. I’ll drive it in stock form for a while and gradually figure out if I really need to upgrade anything through the aftermarket. Great video as always, much love from Texas!

If you have a big bed or base the Sasquatch package is way better then modified just simply the lockers adds so much more value…it’s only about a 5k upgrade and guarantee your not going to do wheels, tires, lift with shocks, and lockers for under 5k in the aftermarket

Hi Mitchell I thought the Sasquatch package from Ford also had a heavier duty front axle as well not sure on that but if you let me know it would be much appreciated .. thanks

It does have heavier duty axles. And a more aggressive gearing. For me, that would be really nice to have, but I’d rather give it up to get the bronco faster (which is exactly what I did with my white badlands).

If you get a Manual Badlands you pretty much everything to include HOSS suspension and 4.7 rear. Wheels, 35 tires and bigger wheel fenders is pretty much the only things you really give up. This is why on a badlands it’s only a $2500 option. Don’t get me wrong I love 35’s.
@perplexedcrab6352
@perplexedcrab6352 2 жыл бұрын
For someone who isn't really going to do any rock climbing, this may be the way to go, but only if the price difference is significant. But than again there is resale to consider, although lots of people own Jeeps that have never left the pavement, so there is that .
