TCcustoms I have discovered something when doing build and price and I don’t know if it’s an error in the website or if it’s another change made by Ford for 2025. When building a ‘25 F-150 Lariat you can’t combine 5.0, 3.73 max tow, and the 6.5 bed. It forces you to the 5.5 bed. You can however build a ‘24 with that combination. Any thoughts?

I'm not young, and remember a time when it was possible to order a vehicle with just the equipment you wanted, only what you wanted, no bundle... I long for that time.

I love my lightning pro, I'm really glad I was able to get it. VW should have to do a second pass on their Electrify America system, it's a disaster. I haven't used it yet, for fear of exactly what you just ran into. I ordered the Tesla adapter, so hopefully when I get that I'll be more inclined to take the truck on longer trips.

It's too bad about those hood vents being cosmetic, though they do look good, so better to have them than not. That said, I suspect the reason they are only cosmetic is so they can more fully insulate the underside of the hood with sound deadening materials for this high end, luxury version of the F150, to help keep the cabin even more quiet. And I do appreciate that. I wonder, are the windows treated for sound dampening and double paned as well to further quiet the cabin? That would be great.

Gas version is what I'd pick. Even if you're towing. If you don't have a CDL or some states a Class B license. You can't go over your GCWR 26,001lb and if you do. That's a DOTs wet dream. Ease of maintenance, Reliable, Cost, no DEF, dont have to worry about Regens or going into limp mode. More pros to a gas over the diesel. Maybe if you asked me 20 years ago, it would be a different story but ever since the EPA cracked down on diesels. Its not anymore reliable then a gas now. Even if you wanted to put a supercharger on the 7.3L for example would prolly still be cheaper then getting the normal diesel compared to the Hight Output diesel.

Don’t pay for the keypad Option! Just KZbin it. It is easily installed with OEM parts for $90. I installed it on my Lightning with no issues.

Don’t do 10,000 mile service intervals!!! Stick with no more than 5,000 miles between oil service intervals. Your 3.5 Ecoboost and pocketbook will thank you. So many horror stories for those who stick with 10,000 mile service intervals.
