I think it's probably a combination of the 17 game season, Thursday night games, and European schedule with the last player contract that really has made it so easy to turn around in a season. The quality of the product on the field isn't consistent during the season. The toll the schedule takes on players with less pre-season practice has just generally driven down the quality of play. The inability or unwillingness for the NFL to revisit how Referees are used and how they can be better assisted with technology has led to some pretty chaotic situations on the field that just didn't deserve all the chaos. It's just sloppier.

easy fix for the NBA - but it'll never happen - 1. Bring back 90s defense, that'll stop all the 3 point shots right away. 2. Cut the season to 42 games, that'll eliminate load management - most players don't seem to start trying hard until February anyway. 3. Start the season in February after the NFL ends. 4. Eliminate 4 franchises - too much diluted talent wasted on franchises that go nowhere - the Wizards, the Jazz, the Hornets, and Pelicans. 5. Relocate the Thunder back to Seattle. Move the Kings to Vegas. Move the Grizzlies back to Vancouver. 6. Make it mandatory to spend 3 years in college or the G league or overseas before becoming draft eligible, and at least 21 - way too many young guys coming in and waste a team's time before they get good.

I'm sorry, idk how anyone can look at Bo Nix and say he's a franchise QB when they also say Brock Purdy is a backup. Like, Purdy is a whopping one month older than Bo Nix and Brock has been to two NFC championships and a super bowl while Bo Nix has been throwing shorter passes less accurate. This is to me where draft position changes your entire narrative even if the production is identical. The niners guy is looked at as unpayable while Bo Nix is a whole four weeks younger with three years less experience and an average depth of target that's half as far as Brock's and he's called "the franchise QB of the future for Denver." All cause he was picked in the first round. The guys are remarkably similar to my eyes, I just don't get it. Watch, in two years Bo Nix is going to be looked at like Baker Mayfield.
